Forums - Sales Discussion - NPD Dec: X360 #1, 1.7m, 900k - 1m Wii, PS3

The 360 did 1.7m last month. Doubt very much it did less then November in the busiest month of the year.... Just for example in 2010 it did 1.2m in Nov and 1.9m in dec, 2009 it did 810k in nov and 1.3m in dec.

There is no chance in my opinion it was anywhere under 2m based on previous years increases. I'd hazard a guess that guy is just fishing for hits to his twitter.

believe me, what i said is right, he said with this satement that ps3 sold 1.7 ;)

I quoted someone a page back who intelligently said that the 1.7m could well be the PS3 numbers...makes sense to me.

Yep, this guy ^

December 2011 NPD highlights:
· Holding a 46 percent share of the overall current-generation console market, Xbox 360 sold more than 1.7 million units in December, solidifying the number-one console spot in the U.S. for 2011. This marks the tenth consecutive month Xbox 360 has held more than 40 percent of the current-generation console market share, and twelfth straight month Xbox 360 was the top-selling console in the U.S. (Source: NPD Group, December 2011.

It's true, DIRE numbers all round.

Wii + PS3 = 1.85m?

that can't be true. How would they sell 66 million hardware?

LOL at people who expected XBOX360 to do over 3,5 millions

The console is really successfull in the USA but this is not Wii 2008-2009, not a phenomenon.

I want the 3DS numbers hardware and software.
