Why? Slimebeast is always underpredicting the 360. He's not disingenius like some people around here though, so no need to doubt him.

Correct. But maybe I learned a lesson now. I will be more careful with my estimation of numbers and more trustful towards VGC tracking, especially regarding the X360.

So

Supply Jan 1st: 420K
Shipped: at least 15.2M (66M+ - 50.8M)
Supply Dec 31st: ?? Estimate at 500K

Of course how much over 66M will really tell the story and we will find that out in a couple of weeks.

This time last year they said over 50m sold, and it shipped 50.8m.

They've said 66m+ this year and asked IGN to clarify their article to sold. So perhaps we'll see 66.8 or something

I think 360 being undertracked by ~1.5m though is just too much to be true. Either they are twisting words or we have a Wii 2009 type situation in the US.

Will find out in 48~ hours I guess

Well no doubt 360 is undertracked, if MS sold 66M means its under by 1.4M right now. Ps3 seems overtracked sine Sony reported 3.9M WW and we have it at 4.6M maybe 4.4 now since adjustements...

For what i can understand it has been that way from previous years so its normal people going by history to make predictions... Well this year was different.

you aint been around vgchartz for long have you? any numbers from MS, sony, nintendo on vgchartz is always shipped NO MATTER WHAT. it dont matter how explicitly they say its sold. wheter its actually sold or shipped, who knows?

Microsoft needs to stop bragging about how many more units they "shipped" then Sony and Nintendo. Shipped is different that SOLD. Give us real numbers... like how much money you lose on every unit sold!!

They havn't dropped the price in 3 years, you reallly think they lose money on X360's? Even though the division is making in the $billions each year?
