@Gamerace

It has been the same here in the UK, all apart from the Wii... A woman i was speaking to in a store today (asking about the DS) said that they have had Wii's in stock since pre-xmas and that interest is falling for the console, i wonder if this trend will continue...

 Uhh, gamerace actually said they were sold out of wii's, and hadn't gotten another shipment in a few weeks, he didn't say they didn't receive any shipments out of lack of interest.

Umm, did you actually read my post?? I was saying that its the same situation over here APART from the fact that the Wii isn't sold out... Not exactly difficult to understand!

 The JAN 08 doesn't include Japan does it?

The Jan 07 doesn't include Europe either.

Sorry I used the Hardware table.
I think that I'm right now.

PS3 dropped 42%
XBOX360 dropped 42%

Why all the PS3 doom?

Exactly, which is why Wii totals in NA surprises me as it's obviously very supply constrained here (major store not getting any in almost 3 weeks)

The PS3 should consistently sell roughly 30-40K a week more than the 360 WW for the next couple of months.

Unlikely. This week, Spain outsold the UK by a healthy margin (190k to 167k) and it's heavily skewed to the Playstation brand.

Take your average week non-holiday... Say early November 07... The UK outsold Spain 133k to 56k. Spain is close to Germany's size in overall game market and this week, they outsold Germany overall by 110k for all consoles.

Put Spain back in a regular non-holiday week and the 360 is close to matching the PS3 in others and still beating it soundly in America.

@Gamerace

I wonder what the numbers would be like if the Wii wasn't supply constrained... I would think that Ninty would want to take note that systems are selling out in some places but not others and adjust the shipments accordingly :P

PS3 sales are dissapointing, it looks as the price-cut effect has fainted. Positive for Sony is their ww lead last weeks over 360, which seems to be continued. With these kinds of numbers Wii's lead will rapidly increase even more.

Because the PS3 got another holiday week from one of its strongholds (Spain) and it still only outsold the 360 by ~35k in Others... Extrapolate regular Spain numbers and the 360 is still neck-and-neck with the PS3 in PAL regions.

Like I said when the PS3 hit PAL regions hard in Nov/Dec:

Wait until the price drop wears off and remember that this is still the PS3's first holiday over there.
