Why the heck would PS3 go up 800k month over month with few deals and no $199 bundles, yet 360 only go up 600k with tons of deals through the month ... I think Pachter looks to much at the previous months performance, as this is a trend.

maybe b/c the 360 had MW3 bundle/game release, along with skyrim and BF3 in Nov. these heavy release could resemble almost the same effect of Dec sales alone
the ps3s total number is much lower than the 360s to begin with, the 800k rise can be attributed to the full heavy shopping month of Dec. Even though there was not many PS3 199 deals this december(i remember those last yr they were pretty hard to get when a store would offer em) there were plenty of PS3s with a160GB HDD for $50 less than it was available this whole year
