One movie a week is fine. Maybe you should make something like a preview before watching the movie, than a quick review to begginers and finally a hardcore 007 fan analysis.
Spoilers and comparisons to the books are ok; quality image on DVD vs BR, soundtrack, impact on its time and today, reception...
Also say your opinion if it would make sense making a remake of the older movies.
Sounds good man! Can't wait to read your reviews.
I would do the same but I don't own them all, and with Blockbuster going out of business I can't even rent them all. I think I own maybe 8-10 of them so I'll watch as many as I can!
Was just about to buy the box set but it turns out my Mum is getting it for my Step Dad's birthday...In 3 months. Hopefully I'll end up getting it before then, you never know.
SnakeDrake said: 1 - Still better than any of that Jason Bourne stuff Oh come on Jason Bourne is awesome stuff Anyways yea I'll follow its just 1 movie per week right. However just to let you guys know I'm kinda one of the new generations of James Bond follower, so if you disagree with some of my opinion. Bring it on. |
I actually like the Jason Bourne franchise. I just happen to LOVE the James Bond one. To me the Jason Bourne mivies are one really well done chase scene - even the scenes that aren't involving action are edited quickly in order to keep up the pace. The biggest difference between the two is that Bond's character has many layers and is extremely interesting where Bourne's starts out interesting with the amnesia thing, but it turns out at the end of the Bourne Ultimatum that we kind of find out that he's very unlikable IMO and just became a high priced killer for America just because he wanted to serve his country in this way (and this is all we get). This cheapened his character and turned him into a cardbord cut out of a man.
I hope that you and everyone else disagrees with me about certain things since there is so much to cover. For instance, I expect to catch crap from certain members for liking Timothy Dalton. :p

Okay, so I have decided that I am going to have these threads up once a week on somewhere between late Sunday night going into early Monday morning American time - it will be up on Monday in Europe. I will edit this into the OP now and let the people that posted in the thread know of this.
First up, Casino Royale (1954 version).

Holy crap! That is it.
Keep it up and I will tell everyone to watch it in here.

spurgeonryan said: After watching that I wonder if the Terence Young, who directed Dr. No, took anything from that movie? Or any of the other directors of Later bond movies. I actually enjoyed it, I would never watch it again, but it was good. Just put it up on your screen and watch it while checking out the chartz or some other site. I say you do the 1967 Casino Royale as well, even though it is a spoof. A lot of websites list it as a James Bond movie.... |
GIve me a more extensive opinion when I give my review. Thanks.
