I'm not too sure NSMBMii will be a launch title... Ninntendo might wanna hold it back a while, releasing it on a later date to boost sales, no? Pikmin this X-mas, and then launching MNSBMii when the Xbox720/PS4 comes out just to steal their thunder - wouldn't that make sense?

It sure would but they'll have Mario Kart ready for late 2013 most likely and there's a big chance either Wii Fit or Wii Sports 3 will be released in 2013, too. So Nintendo would fire most of their biggest gungs in a single year. So in my opinion Mario Bros. for late 2012 and Mario Kart + one "Wii" game in 2013 would make more sense. Hasn't that been Nintendo's stance with the Wii? One "casual" and one bridge or core game each Christmas.

Aaaah touché Scrooge! Touché... But I'm pretty sure they'll have a "Wii U Sports" out within the first year - perhaps a second one then?

so, for 2012: NMSBM and "Wii U (whatever)"

And in 2013: Mario Kart and yet another "Wii U (something)"

and just maybe, just maybe in 2014: Zelda :D

Yeah I think that is pretty likely Here's the big question: Does EAD 2 have the resources to develop two games at once? I doubt Animal Crossing 3DS is taking up their whole man power and I speculated they could be making the "Chase Mii" game (the game that should come bundled with the hardware) which would make a Wii Sports for launch impossible - 3 games at once are simply too much. But thinking about it EAD 5 (Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus) could actually be the ones responsible for the bundled game (their last game was Steel Diver). In that case EAD 2 could be working on Animal Crossing 3DS and Wii Sports U with EAD 5 handling development of "Chase Mii" and later Wii Fit. That means Wii Sports could be released late 2012 or first half of 2013. Wii Fit would probably follow suit about a year later. So:

2012 - Mario Bros., bundled game (could be part of the "Wii" series in the end) and one "core game"

2013 - Wii Sports (summer?), Mario Kart U, Pikmin 3, Wii Fit (early 2014?)

Of course that's all just speculation. It's what I'd do to maximise sales, though.

On Zelda: It depends on whether we'll get a 3DS Zelda first. Didn't Aonuma say something along the lines of "we'll make a real 3DS Zelda next"? In that case I'd expect Zelda U in late 2015. Smash Bros. should be ready for a late 2014 launch, though. So 3D Mario, Smash Bros. and possibly Wii Fit in 2014. This is loads of fun haha

I gotta admit that I don't really know what Nintendos studios are working on, but from what you've put forth it seems like a very plausable scenario... I saw a list here somewhere what the studios were working on (many of them were of course "unknown" titles).

I had a look here what the studios been doing over the years, and I started ti wonder if NSMB really is coming this year...

this is my projections for the coming years:

2012: Bundled Wii U Sports/E3 Demos, Pikmin, (and just maybe) Mario Kart Wii U and maybe, maybe NSMBmii, AND whatever RETRO'S working on :D

2013: If it's not out by 2012 it'll come this year: NSMBmii, Mario 3D, Nintendogs, Wii U Fit, and if Retro didn't realese anything in 2012 it'll come now

2014: The earliest dates for Super Smash and Zelda - but they could just as easily come out in 2015...

Yeah, they said that the next Zelda for 3DS would be a brand new one, and moving away from the cartoonish...

I'm having a ball making these predictions :D

Well, I've got good news for ya'. Nintendo/Aonuma said they'd pursue a 3 year development time for upcoming Zelda games =)

How is THAT good news?! lulz :D 3 year is way too long :P but, I'd rather have a good Zelda that took a few years to do than a bad one the rushed thru...

Lol, yeah I'd like to have it earlier as well, but it's still way better than the 5 year Skyward Sword development :P

EAD 5 should be able to make Wii Sports because of their recent sports/fitness tiles. They most likely won't have Chase Mii be a stand alone title. It's just too shallow of a game and I'm pretty sure it was just for demoing purposes.

The question is if EAD 4 will have enough resources for NSMBM and Pikmin 3.

To clarify this: When I said "Chase Mii" I meant a compilation of games (they also showed "Shoot Mii" or whatever) to show off the capabilities of the controller. Basically all the demoes we've seen at e3 packed into a single game like Wii Sports.

Ah, I see now. I still don't think that those games wil be exactly like the ones shown off at E3.

Bra va?! xD

I know it is not a Nintendo made game, but what do you all think about Resident Evil 6? It should be coming out around the same time as the Wii U.

It'd make me happy, that's for sure!  Certainly sounds possible.

I want Resident Evil 6 to be on the Wii U by the end of 2012

Anyway,

U Sports
Pikmin 3
Eternal Darkness 2
Pokemon Stadium U(Like the 2 on the N64...not the crap from GC or Wii)
Brand New "Core" Game

I'm not too sure... wasn't the handheld Zeldas outsourced to another studio for a while? Don't know where this is coming from, but didn't capcom make a handheld Zelda? LIke four swords?? But I think that it's EAD 3 that's making all the zelda...

Yeah, Capcom developed Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages for GBA, but that's about it. Nintendo confirmed that they've been working on a brand new Zelda for the 3DS that really utilizes all of its features!

Det måste väl iallafall vara bra på alla sätt och vis? :P
