Game Over! said:

1. HARDWARE SHIPMENTS - The "Worldwide Hardware Shipments" table needs to be updated. It's found in World -> Hardware Shipments. Until March 2007, it was updated each half a year. The date when it was exacly 6 months since last update, September 2007, has passed a long time ago, and there aren't still any newer shipments than from March 2007. Please, update this, it shouldn't be a bigger problem, and I'm quite interested of the hardware shipments the last half of the last year. Before March 2007, it was updated each six months.

2. CONSOLE DATABASE - This shouldn't be so difficult either. Simply do a "Console Database" like the Game Database where you see:

- The name (ofc.)

- Publisher and date of release

- Total number of units sold worldwide

- Launch sales for each region (first 3 weeks)

- Console pitcure

- The number of hits

- "I own this console!"

- The regional bar chart (both percentage of the total share and units sold)

- A rating system

- The "three lines chart" (units sold each week for each region)

- "Compare sales with other consoles"

- Summary

- "People who own this console"

- Screenshots (yes, it's necessary)

- Comments

- Add a comment possibility

That's it! With other words: exactly as the games, but consoles instead. Personaly I think that this idea isn't that bad. What do you think about this idea? Handhelds are of course also counted in this. Let's see which console will get the most hits and the best rating!

3. FORUM SEARCHING - You probably had a reason for deleting this function. It was usable, but not so important, ehhh... forget about it!

4. MEMBER BANNING - What is this? Almost every "fanboy"-member is banned! "They need to express their feelings for their favorite." It can't be a forum without rules, but at who can we laugh on now, if all idiots are banned?!?! I never said this, forget about this thing too! Instead, I can just tell you that the Predictions League doesn't work right know (Error 404: Not found). I don't know if it's my PC or if it's the servers problem, just so you know... By the way, a Console Database would be great, with all acient consoles included, especially for someone that has a great Game Database! You could for example add consoles that sold less than 100k, and that no one ever heard about, like HyperScan (Mattel, October 2006). Well, that was it!

If you want all that then you better get started!

Like come on man, talk about being picky. Do you know hard it probably is to get all the data there is now?

The most important thing is to get rid of those shady cellphone ringtone commercials.

Having flashy intrusive ads on a site that wants to be known for it's professionalism and accurate numbers is contradicting. I know it's hard to get some decent ads on the net but you really need to fix this. I know the majority of the young members here won't care but the big boys do.

I thought that might be the reason... PS3 is actually pretty easy to fix in comparison to PS2 and PSP. It is more irritating now that I have seen the old fiscal data that Renar posted a link to, because back in 2000 was when they changed to the "produced = shipped" figures. So they previously reported retail sales before PS2s release.

Vgchartz user Renar has posted a link to a Sony document that shows that Sony was reporting sold-to-retail figures up until 2000? Did I get that right?

Could you give me that link? Its not in the Annual Reports.

I think the rating system needs to get some improvements.
One idea is that only people who actually owns the game can rate on a game.

They need an option to edit game names an also to submit a game for deletion.
