I just got a PS3, and while I have a list a mile long for what I need to pick up, my wife, who isn't a gamer, needs something to play.

She likes racing games, especially more arcade style, no GT5.

So what are some great, easy to play racing games I can pick up for her to play, while I slog through Dark Souls?

I've played Modnation racers and it's pretty good. But I would really recommend GT5 as its an amazing game and will give you a realistic experience like no other racing game can give you. 1000+ cars, 72 tracks and kart racing only makes it a much more enjoyable experience.

Modnation racers and Need 4 Speed: Hot Pursuit would be good picks IMO.

Also, Dirt 3, Grid, and maybe Motorstorm 2. Though, those may be a bit too hardcore.

Modnation racers

What about Split/Second? I seem to remember it getting some good press when it came out.

She's not afraid of action or the more hardcore games, I just don't think she's interested in the more "SIM" style racers.
