well looks like ioi has already adjusted a lot of the weekly figures.

I think the VGchartz data got adjusted, the numbers seem more in line with the NPD numbers now

What about wii sports,from day one till now with every WII sold there was ONE WII SPORTS sold as well,it can be easily be confirmed, so if there is 259k WII sold in Msrch there should be 259 WII SPORTS sold as well,something is strange about that numbers

Wow, that is sort of shocking.

I always thought that the figures were "running too hot", and were always due for a cooling... well, here it is. Boost from launches/transition is now over, and returning to normal levels.

Nintendo DS 508K:
    - big winner for the month, half a million sold - and with Pokemon to come NEXT month. Gap between DS & PSP will continue to widen (now 3:1 in the US).

PlayStation 2 280K:
    - shows that current gen is far from over. Also plenty of stocks available. GoWII definitely helped, and push hardware.

Wii 259K:
    - a bit disapointing/puzzling (was expecting around 300k), but who knows how Nintendo handle their supply figures. May have cut shipments for two reasons: PS3 Europe launch & stockpiling for "Next FY" (since they hit their 6m target)

Xbox 360 199K:
    - demand for the 360 has really weakened, esp. in its "main" market (and considering 5 week cycle). I really do believe the PS3/360 are hurting each other badly. Needs some big releases soon. Does not bode well for the future.

PlayStation Portable 180K:
    - around expectations, esp. considering price drop is coming. Justifies the retailers pushing for a price drop. Still being murdered by the DS, in one of the PSP's strongest markets.

Game Boy Advance 148K:
    - just like the PS2, the GBA is still doing really well. As DS shipments/sales increase, this will gradually die out. But its still generating a lot of income for Ninty (almost matched the PSP alone).

PlayStation 3 130K:
    - probably the BIG story for this month. Many Sony fanboys were expecting a BIG recovery after Motorstorm, HOME announcement, and other titles hit the PS3. But the sales have been terrible (down another 25-30% on last month?), and still easily being outsold by every other (relevant) device. The 360 continues to build its lead, at a time where the PS3 (just 3 months after launch!!) should be outselling it easily. Just wait for the media stories to hit about this figure.

Wii Sports isn't counted as a sale by NPD since it's bundled. Overall not too bad VGC got the numbers relative to each other mostly correct if not the absolute numbers.
