Forums - Sales - Nintendo 64 Vs. Playstation Vs. Saturn

N64 no contest, but I agree with the "dark ages" sentiment. The IDEA of 3D was nice, but the tech wasn't there to do it right. This generation was a giant step backwards in aesthetics, and use of the third dimention was often clunky and poorly thought out. Nintendo did it will with Mario and esp. Zelda. MGS1 was great, but the generation overall... blech!

Viva la 2D retro-revolution

I'm still discovering games for Ps1.
I think this answer is entirely up to your tastes. I like platformers, but it's not my favorite genre. I prefer them on the SNES to tell ya the truth.
Being that my favorite genre is JRPG... well, you can guess my answer...

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

N64. I'm not into adrogynous males(except maybe Marth..), Sandbox titles, and Racing Sims. I did like Frogger on the PS1 though.

Saturn, I like you alot, but no new Sonic on a Sega console is sad.

Pixel Art can be fun.

The best games of the generation by genre:

Best fighter: Tekken 3
Best RPG: FF7
Best Stealth Game: MGS
Best Racing Sim: GT2
Best Arcade Racer: Wipeout/Twisted Metal/Mario Kart 64 (not as good as original)
Best Sports game: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (if you count skateboarding as a sport)
Best Survival Horror: Resident Evil 2
Best Casual Game: Parappa the Rappa
Best 2D Game: GTA
Best FPS: Goldeneye
Best Flight Game: Star Fox 64 (not as groundbreaking as the original though)
Best Platform Game: ... platform games are sh*t.

Conclusion: PS1!!!!! It was the first console that catered to an audience of young adults, and the first console that you didn't have to hide when you brought girls home. Of course, bringing girls home would just cut into your FF7 play time, and priorities are priorities.

THIS

Playstation obviously. Why else would it have sold 102 million. Because people wanted it as a CD player? I doubt that.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"
