I hope Sony just get rid of those stupid phones and stupid TVs altogether and just focus on Films and PS3/Vita.

They didn't have a profitable quarter at the beginning of the year?
What the hell was I reading then? Maybe it was last year. Time is flying so fast.
So they didn't have a profitable quarter this year at all? Just wow!!

I know people will be mad about this, but the PS3 is a perfect example for this. They do have a strong hardware and a really big brand, but they ruined it in 2 years and are building it up again. MS made it absoultely clear that they want the Xbox 360 to be the center of you living room and with the latest update, with Bing, Netflix, Youtube, MSN, Facebook, ESPN, Twitter, Last.Fm, LoveFilm, Hulu, Zune etc etc they are in a very good position to achieve this. Sony on the other hand has a machine that can do the same thing, but they are miles behind in this segment. Sure they have their apps and can do the same thing, but overall it is just a not so good experience like "Xbox, youtube!". The Move was an attempt to get casuals, but it was a failure more or less. The point is that Sony has more entertainment in their portfolio than MS, but they are not using it. Heck they do have a big record-label and a movie studio but are not using it in any special way. Look how easy MS made the PC --> WindowsPhone 7 --> Xbox --> Windows Live Messenger products be connected. Sony failed to do so in the past years. PSP, TVs, PS3, VAIO, Sony cell phones could be easily used as a powerhouse and to deliver an overall complete experience. Look at Apple and the iPad, iPod and iPhone products. Through the cloud it is just perfect for the user. Sony should do something like this as well. I don't get how a software company, basically new to the entertainment industry gets more content than an entertainment company just with some easy partnerships with content providers. |
I wish you would go back to not posting because unless you own a 360, PS3 and a wii your opinion is overly biased. Especially about the ludicrous idea that the 360 has so many more great services than the PS3, more like it is a place to go to get advertisements shoved down your throat. But dont get me wrong it does have good services, a few more arcade games and some good exclusives, but quite frankly it is in no way superior to what Sony offers. They are relitively equal.

Cut your TV division, Sony! You'll be back in the black in no time then >__>

Eh. MS is my least favorite of the 3 but even I know that their online and service system is superior to Sony's.

The only two thingsit has that I can think of that I wish the PS3 had was simple mics and not those expensive bluetooths, last FM. I am not going to start naming the things that are better on the PS3 because that is going to far off topic. But I am calling this guy out because he does not even pretend that the PS3 has a lot to offer unlike many of the more balanced MS fans on here. Good ones like Yo_John,Trashyouupmandister12, and BenV who can give praise to all the companies. I wont reply back on the subject now again as it is too off topic.

Of course they'll be wrong to think so, Sony would be doing the right thing sitting on the price, especially if you can't afford to cut. But could strong demand from investors asking for Sony to do something, push Sony into cutting the Vita down enough so it's in the red? Is Vita going to be making much money anyway, does anyone have any figures on that? I still don't believe Sony is acting like a company that is in the state it is. They seem to be behaving somewhat indenial. |
i know this is a video game site and all but i don't think investors give two-shits about the vita right now. sony's gaming portions are doing fine at the moment, it's their TVs that are bleeding money right now. sony is a BIG company of which playstation is only a portion thereof.
what video game hardware manufacturer isn't in red?
