That is not how prices of consoles work. When the Wii launched in the USA for $249 US, it released in Australia for $400 AU, which converted to $315, not $249. So even if the source is absolutely correct that it will launch for the equivalent of $600 US in Australia, that would be a launch price of $474 in the USA.
