Both the music and the scene starting with a zoom out from her eye reminded me of Lost at the moment, not that they didn't do it on purpose.

Why do you keep game trailers in a book?

I still think this is the best I've seen, I remember watching it almost daily in late 2006:

best trailer for me was MGS2's trailer in 2000 (i think).

The hype really got to me.

Always felt Ubisoft makes the best trailers. Assassin's Creed Revelation E3 trailer

I don't know if it's the best I've seen... Hard to say.

But it did make a really big impact on me too.

Here it is, in all it's 360p glory. ha ha (at 6:45 is when it's particularly awesome, if only for the music)

It's a tie between killzone 3 and uncharted 3

The music and dialogue within the trailer was just awesome. I regret not getting the game when it first came out.




The last 40 seconds got my blood pumping the first time I saw it. Still makes me excited after beating the game :D

The Dead Island trailer was indeed satisfyingly awesome.

Best trailers in recent memory:

• Assassin's Creed 2: Announcement trailer.
• Halo 3:ODST: "We Are ODST".
• The Last of Us
• Dead Island
• Killzone 2: Announcement trailer *Boy, did they dissapoint me hard with the game though!*
• Halo 3 & 4 Announcement trailers, and the shorts Blomkamp made.

I may be missing a few.  (And yes, I have a preference for CGI/live-action trailers/movies)
