I get a similar feeling when I see any game not called MW3 for the PS3 on the US charts list :(

Actually, Spain has a video game market VERY similar to Brazil's. Except that, maybe things are changing in the last years. X360 is becoming more popular, but PS3 still is huge among non-pirate gamers. But 90% of people that have a VG is for PES / Fifa. |
Pretty much what Onibaka said, youd be amazed by how many diferent iterations of FIFA and PES (called Winning Eleven in Brazil) the casual Brazillian gamer have (Im Brazilian btw). Nonetheless the non soccer games sell well over here too, I read somewhere GOW III is suposed to have sold around 200k copies lifetime wich is almost nothing when you consider there are 200 million inhabitants on Brazil but is quite expressive when you consider that GOW III has sold little more tham 4 million woldwide to this day. I supose things are more or less the same in Spain.

Take it as you will. My observation is that we have two markets, one in which the PS3 dominates (Spain) and one where the 360 dominates (USA). I find it strange that you view MW3 selling well on 360 even in Spain a staggering fact considering how universally popular the franchise is.
I will concede that the degree to which the respective consoles dominate in either country differs but that alone does not negate my point.
As to my observation being "generalising nonsense", I will take that as a compliment coming from you.
cheers

X360 (and DS, Wii and PSP, even PS3 is starting to have it too) has a HUGE piracy problem in Spain, it's almost impossible to see X360 games in the top 10, but you can usually see one or two PS3 games in the top 10 in UK or USA, and sometimes multiplats sell more in PS3 in those markets. You won't ever see a multiplat selling more on X360 in Spain.

You bring up a fair point regarding piracy and it has been a while since even the PS3 was cracked so no doubt all consoles are being affected.
It is encouraging though that 360 can still perform strong is software sales in Spain as shown by MW3(360) despite the piracy.

I appreciate you showing empathy and being concerned about my feelings but that aside you shouldn't understate 360's ability to sell a lot of software in Spain even if it's not as consistant as it is in its stronger regions.
Spain is the football nation!!
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
