Forums - Sony - Last of US Trailer (by Naughty Dog)

Pullus you got some serious problems man. I'm a low life fanboy, but jesus christ. Can people get banned nowadays for stuff like this?

On topic:
Amazing, as soon as I saw Naughty Dog, I was blown away haha.

Around the Network

game looks to be very promising...hopefully we'll see some gameplay by/at E3

LOL people are seriously finding similarities between this and Uncharted 3 ??? thats just silly.

Other than the production values naughty dog brings and the attention to detail like animation, environment detail and voice over work (they probably used the same methods to do these things as it was done on Uncharted) there are literally NO similarities. Uncharted was not even a thought when i watched this trailer.

Edit: Dammit ive been pulled into the off topic rubbish nature of this thread! -_-

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

Lmao, funniest and worst thread I have ever come across on this site. Trolls just drag this thread to hell, shame.

Eh, much of that is your opinion, which I won't debate with. Fact: Uncharted 3 was developed by a completely different team, so considering it "rushed" is not only subjective, but irreleavnt to The Last Of Us.

It isn't my opinion, where are the single player cheats you unlock?  Are those being missing from the game my opinion?  UC2 maps being recycled for UC3 multiplayer isn't my opinion either.   Bugs existing in the game is not my opinion, they are there.

UC3 is either rushed and rcycled or they set out to remove features and make a buggier game.

Well again, since it seems likely that this new IP was developed by a separate team, I have no reason to believe it impacted Uncharted 3 in any meaningful way. Furthermore, where some features may be missing (a few returning since v1.02), new features like 3D and multi-player customization have entered the scene. And this still doesn't consider the possibility that said absent features from Uncharted 2 could return in future updates. Personally, for what the package offered, I have little to complain about.

Anyway, we can argue about Uncharted 3's flaws all day, but this probably isn't the best place.

Would that fact that these removed features are being added in patches not be evidence of the game being rushed?  Don't get me wrong, I really like Uncharted 3 and have spent a crapload of time playing the multiplayer, but it is a massive disappointment seeing so much removed or recycled.

uncharted 2 launched with about 7 or so maps which is about the same as the new maps in uc 3

beyond that uc 3 has more dynamic events happening, character customisation, new modes, gun modding, tresure sets, facebook/youtube integration etc

sure a couple things were removed like sp skins but in a broader sense uc 3 is a far bigger game than uc 2 but it sounds like you're saying otherwise

Man I love how they kept it character-driven. There are so few companies that take character development seriously.

I'm not a fan of survival horror games but how can I say no to a game being developed by gods? Right, I can't.

I thought the lighting in Uncharted 3 was unmatched, but this game blows it out of the water. And the main character looks as god as the samartarian (Whatever the spelling was) demo. WTF does Naughty Dog do with their code? Do they like, inject it with hardware changing magic? Looks like Santa Monica and Guerrilla Games have to start stepping up their game. Story looks interesting, maybe they can do for "survival horror" to what they did with Tomb Raider.

And why can't plants take over a street?

Also, is the main character voiced by Nolan North?

I can't believe this began being developed in 2006 and nothing about it ever got leaked. Looks very promising, looking forward to seeing more of it in the coming months.

i agree, and here a comparison

list of missing features from Uncharted 3 that were in 2.

-single player tweaks. (they tried to implement this, but said it caused game breaking bugs)

list of added features in Uncharted 3 that were not in 2.

-3D

-split screen co-op

-split screen multiplayer

-split screen local multiplayer

-split screen local co-op

-lan support

-completely revamped multiplayer including:

-kick backs

-buddy system

-new mellee system

-new dynamic levels

i could go on and on and on.

i also dont understand how this game could be rushed as it had a nearly 2 month longer dev cycle than Uncharted 2 had. (Uncharted drakes fortune released Nov. 16, 2007. Uncharted 2 released Oct 13, 2009. less than 23 months. Uncharted 3 was released Nov 1, 2011. nearly 25 months.) if anything Uncharted 3 was their least rushed Uncharted.

and calling one of the most polished games ever released, with a great single player, and a huge, engaging and deep multiplayer and co-op, a rushed game, and then calling a game with game breaking bugs and glitches, some people cant even finsih the game. well thats just hilarious.
