Soviet soldiers used "For Motherland! For Stalin!" warcry during WW2, and that wasn't simply a propaganda on their side.

When Stalin ordered that any soldier retreating would be shot and killed, I'd say the soldiers were fighting for Stalin.

The Red Army won the Battle of Berlin and ended the Nazi menace long before the Americans ever could have. 15 million people lost all to save the world from the greatest evil we have ever faced and the fools try to turn them into villains. By your absolutely bizarre and twisted logic I should dismiss the actions of WWII era American heroes because of the disgusting disrespect for life displayed by your nation during the Philippine-American War and Vietnam. For someone who fully justified firebombing of Tokyo and nuking both Nagasaki and Hiroshima, shouldn't such order have made even more sense to you, if ever was given?

But the true irony is that the order actually issued by Stalin was rather different from what you'd imputed him so light-heartedly and brain-washingly. And the measures ordered were temporary.

The nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki saved lives, so I don't understand where you were going with that.

Saved lives, mutilated thousands of people in the future generations and still has effects to this day - more to see what sort of effect nuclear weapon will have on humans rather than save lives unfortunately. It may have saved them in the short term, but most argue that blockade would have been as effective and nowhere as damaging as two nuclear devices.

It was a test on humans, Japanese were used as guinea pigs, the whole "saving lives" is a bullshit aspect of it.

In terms of credit, the OP has a point, Russians get bugger all, they've effectively pushed Nazi regime on the brink of collapse before the so called "Allies" decided to open up another front in order to stop the spread of Communism into western europe. Although I think he's an ignorant fool himself trying to push his point(no matter if it's right or not) in such a stupid and thickheaded way.

Also in regards to the Ukranian hate on the Russians, it was mainly due to the civil war after the Bolsheviks took power - between the Whites and the Reds - during that period millions of Ukranians starved due to the fact that their crops were requisitioned by the Russians, however when you look at it - the Whites were funded by the powers of the West - so does that put the blame on their shoulders? Unfortunately in this world, West always meddles in everyones affairs - ie Libya, Iraq probably soon Sirya and Iraq.
