Holiday boost starting in Japan and of course amazing numbers for 3DS. I still believe that during the week 50 we will see over million units hw sold in Japan... Wii will again outsell PS3 in December but this time ytd gap is just too big to overcome in one month so PS3 will finally take its home console victory in Japan. Of course compared to 3DS (and soon Vita) home console sales are rather sad nowadays in Japan......

Wow, great opening for Mario Kart 7! Super Mario Land 3D is doing excellent, it actually increased from last week o_O.
It seems like the Wii finally wants to join the party. Too bad Zelda was left behind...

So Call of Duty is bigger than Zelda in Japan now...

Totally amazing 3DS numbers, especially considering the size of the market there.

Very good PS3, PSP and Wii numbers. The holiday boost is starting in Japan now.

Wii numbers aren't that good. I do expect it to reach 100k a week at some point during the holidays, but appalling numbers from the market leader really. PS3 is doing well on the other hand, and has FF13-2 week which should boost sales a lot.

Anyways I think Wii needs a pricecut already in Japan (it's still on the 2009 pricing with WSR bundle added)

I'm not so sure about that, considering that this month has FFXIII-2 coming out for PS3, which includes a limited edition console as well.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Bomb

Chances are this might be the worst selling main Zelda game there in Japan, unless of course some kind of miracle happens in the upcoming weeks. Wii is dead.

There's nothing left for it this year save for Mario & Sonic which is not popular there anymore and the re release of Inazuma with added content, which wasn't that popular either.

Plus the Wii will only have 2 more 3rd party games in Japan for next year and 2 more 1st party games, while the PS3 has about 70 more games for next year. Wii U needs to come out fast, but at the moment 3DS is more than making up for all the terrible decisions Nintendo made. Lucky for them 3DS was able to recover, otherwise this Holidays would have been catastrophic for them.
