as long as Ueda doesn't leave then all is well. if he does then team Ico could be in deep shit.

Not necessarily...

But it looks like Ueda has already positioned himself to potentially leave....the only thing we don't know is why.

agreed. yea thats more like the sad part. i wonder what he's going to do. Sony gave him all the freedom in the world for his creative visions, so i'd love to know why he's leaving.

Veronica Belmont left Sony in Oct. She was the host of Qore

It could be that Ueda's departure is up in the air, and this exec leaving could change his outcome.

After all, it's the executive producer's job to ensure a game arrives on time and up to par. Ueda and Hayama butting heads could be a partial cause of the Last Guardian's lengthy development cycle.

Though we may never know the specifics of what's going down. If Team ICO dissolves, I hope we get a good postmortem on what happened during the Last Guardian's development to cause it all to happen.

If I were at the top of Sony I would be firing these guys. It's great to make a masterpiece, I agree, but I would be beyond pissed that my Japanese devs are taking too damn long to finish one project.

There is so much going into The Last Guardian (you can tell from what little has been coming out about it). Sony needs to set an example. If people leave, oh well. Paying people for over 6 years and there is nothing to show for it other than more development is not a way to keep your job.

I'd be looking at Polyphony as well.

With that sort of attitude and sentiment, You'd have few to no good developers looking to join your slavedriving ship.

6 years, still in development.

The keyword may have been good developers.

Fumito Ueda's next Sony game will be the last... Guardian.
