It's weird, I'm excited about the Wii U, at the same time frightened that the concept doesn't work like they want it to be. That said I was also frightened that the 3D in the 3DS is just a gimmik, but it's seriously won me over

While my WiiU-itis, fever or whatever it was thankfully went to a idle state a while ago (waiting to see and hear more next year), I can only agree with the OP.

Imagine playing Aliens with the screen of the controller as the radar, how suddenly lots of red dots start to appear and you have no idea if they will come from above or from bellow... priceless.

Also the inclusion of a wiimote plus and nunchuck would be a good idea to allow the developers choose the control method they want, and it will also give the option to the buyers who don't have the Wii to play its games without additional cost.

Now 3D was thought of as a gimmick because we could never actually see the 3D until we played some games and especially SM3DL.

For the WiiU though we have already seen what it can do and that my friend is anything but a gimmick!

I don't think it will come with any Wii controllers out of the box. Those are still fairly expensive, and adding them to price of the WiiU isn't going to do the WiiU any favors at retail. There's over 90 million Wiimotes out there already, just utilize those instead if you must.

But I'm not sure I'd really want to switch controllers in the middle of the game, nor look down at the WiiU controller screen to use it as radar. If I need to know important stuff, put it on the screen I'm already looking at.

I think so too but they were leaving the opening for 3^rd party developers as they have said even before 3DS came out.

But all is better now so that’s good :D

Wii controllers are sold at an expensive price but are very cheap to manufacture.

lol your just boring

having a radar+ hearing the beeps + other stuff on the controller for Aliens will make the game more immersive. 

You can always get the PS360 version so problem solved.

as for Wiimotes. as i said not all people have the Wii even if it was at 100m so thats why it should be packed in with WiiU
