Forums - Gaming - So I bought a couple used games and now I'm reviewing them

Just finished Alone in the Dark Inferno and man is this game amazing. I remember watching and reading reviews on this game only to hear how buggy and terrible this game was. Then I read a list somewhere (might have even been VGC) of games were not as bad a people said or something like that and they said that Inferno had fixed all the bugs and adressed all of the complaints that happened in the xbox and PC versions. Well, I did run into a couple bug and I only have one small complaint, but man this game is fucking impressive. You play as Edward Carnby as you try to discover why the hell New York City is being attacked by hell. While trying to survive, you go through the amazing set piece moments and man do they wow you. The game is amazingly varied from and almost masters the combination of FPS and adventure platforming. The driving is the only minor inconvenience since it only seemed fun in set piece moments. But the most amazing thing about this game is the unbelievable music. I died multiple times on purpose just to listen to the amazing music timed perfectly with the action taking place on screen. The Story also will give you a recap in case you might have forgot some of the details while you last played. I can't believe that this game exists and I also can't believe it took me this long to play it. This game I think will be a lost masterpiece, to be forgotten through the years only to be left alone......in the dark.

I payed around $6 for this game and if you can get the Inferno(playstation) version I highly recomend that you buy it right away! (10/10)

Oh and I forgot to mention the game I bought when I went to pre-order Xenoblade.
Onechambara:bikini zombie slayers

What should be next on the list? (can't play PS2 for now :( )

Well, just got through the worst bus ride of my life and now I'm back at my dorm. Though I had to stay up till 2 in the morning to finish the I've most wanted to play since I read an article about it in Nintendo Power and then was told that I couldn't buy it in 2005.... Killer 7.

I don't remember how I kept on forgetting about playing this game. This is a game that I always wanted to play since I read about it. I just saw the weirdness flow through the pages and knew that this game would be at least something unique to play. Even after playing both No More Heroes (and even Contact) I kept on forgetting to play this game by grasshopper. Well, after 7 long years of wanting and forgetting, I can say that this is was easily the most mature and surreal game that I've ever played. The only negative I can say about this game is that the cell shaded graphics have not held up as I thought they would. It's not major, but when you play the game it all looks somewhat like they took a lazy route since they have a brilliant art style. The game play is the biggest combination between genres combining into an on rails puzzle shooter adventure game. The story can be summarized into one of the most confusing and intriguing that you will ever watch and play through. I liked all of the characters in this game even though some get little no background story whatsoever. The game play is where this turns into a love it or hate it game and I personally thought that this game was amazing. I never thought that something so weird and different would be one of the greatest games I ever played, and once you beat it there is a great incentive to play it again. This game has no parallel and stands on its own as one of gamings greatest achievements .

I got this game for $10 and I can't believe I got it for that cheap (the GC version. I don't know why but this version cost more than a used PS@ version) If you ever see this game on a store shelf and you don't already own it, pick it up immediately, you will instantly/ never in your life regret it (10/10)

Just for kicks. Kid Icarus 3D Classics is the same game but in 3D and with better controls. I got it as a free preorder from amazon so I am not complaining. It removed some challenge but made it more fun to play. If they ever put it up for sale give it shot. (8/10) Now back to playing KIU.

Also bit on amazon B2G1 free and got
Nano Assault
Rune Factory 3
Fragile Dreams: Farewell ruins to the moon

Brought my 3ds with me this time so I get some ds games done but heres to another small hiatus. :)

So you are in college, and on long drives home, which I am guessing is cross country you play a ton of games? About how many games do you play and beat a day would you say?

Also when you come back on here tell us how you like Nano Assault!

Its more like I when I get a vacation and get to come back home. It's more of going from northern California to southern California so not that long of a drive. My friends will call me when they can hang out so I just spend the rest of it playing these games. I ussually would finish a game in about 2 days (1 if it's really fun.) This time I brought my 3DS and some DS games I can semi review when I get the time but sadly, nano assualt did not arrive in my mail before I left. Though, which one should I play first: Hotel Dusk room 215, N+, or Spectrobes?

Weeeelllllll, Gamestop had a B2G1 free sale and surprisingly the Gamestop that I went to had some obscure titles that I've been meaning to get so here they are:

Mercenaries: Playground of destruction
Mad Maestro!
Destroy All Humans
Ratchet: Deadlocked
Dark Angel Vampire apocalypse
Eternal Ring
Tak 1
Tak 2
Spawn Armageddon
Reign of Fire
1080 avalanche
Die Hard Vendetta
Xenosaga 1
Shellshock Nam 67
IGPX
Dark Cloud
Yakuza
Klonoa 2
Tribes Aerial Assault
Intellivision lives
Musashi samurai legend
Stolen
Headhunter redemption
Dead to Rights
Dead to Rights 2
The hobbit
Brave Search for Spirit Dance
Gungrave
Summoner
The thing
LoTR Two Towers
Giants Citizen Kabuto
Red Dead Revolver
Frogger the Great Quest

and some other games that I got online cheap:
Die Hard Trilogy
syphon filter 2 &3
elebits
sonic and the secret rings
State of Emergency
Guitar Hero 3
Tomb Raider Trilogy
rainbow six

got all the gamestop games for 75 bucks(man I'm a sucker for these B2G1 sales) and some of those games I kinda surprised that I got them. I'll be playing them in a couple of weeks when I get back home but now I need to study for finals and get hyped for E3.

P.S. Sorry Ryan, some butthole stole 3DS with Hotel Dusk in it. I'm not gonna lie, I kept on going back to KIU and Pushmo and played the intro like 4 times since I kept forgetting to get to a save point. It pisses me off more that I lost all of those ambassador games though. I'm Gonna wait until the next 3DS revision since I cant register another one to my Club Nintendo account and gave my old DS to my cousin. Until then, tell me what crappy games that I bought. :)
