Forums - Gaming - So I bought a couple used games and now I'm reviewing them

I'm curious what you think of Duke Nukem. I expect you to be done with it within 5 days. Play Deadly Creatures next. It's a weird, short but somehow enjoyable game.

Well, Just finished Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars: The Directors Cut. Here's my impression of the game, or as I like to call it, "American's Frenchy French adventure through France and other places." Man I thought Heavy Rain was showed me what a French game is, but man after playing this...let me just say that this game is pretty fucking French. Now I'll admit I had no idea what this game was and I probably should have done a little research to at least know that it was a point and click adventure game. Another thing that I should say is that this game is defiantly a product of the 90's and with that this game has kinda stood the test of time. It can get boring at times and sometimes you'll thank the developers for that hint button. All in all, this game should be a lot more dated and I should probably hate it, but I don't even though I don't like point and clicks as much. I bought this game for $6 and I think it was worth it. I would get this game if you like french things, point and click games, and anything french. Seriously. This game is fucking French. (8/10)

What game should I play next guys. :) (ordered a Gamecube memory card and PS2 controller from amazon but they haven't arrived yet.)

Love your impressions. BTW: You can blame an English guy called Charles Cecil and his company Revolution Software for Broken Sword. This "fucking French" game about an American in Paris was developed in UK.

Just played a bit of it and its alright. The mini-games are fun distractions. I already played Deadly Creatures and I think its amazing.

So I finally finished Duke Nukem Forever.... and I thought it was pretty good. This game achieved what I thought what it was supposed to achieve, and that was to make me laugh, blow up a bunch of aliens, and see fake tits. there's only 2 problems with this game in my view. #1 The fucking load times. Seriously, what the fuck Gearbox. #2 the aiming is a little funky and even though you kill things with an explosion half the time it's still a little annoying not being able to hit the target the first couple shots. All in all, this game made me laugh every time I heard of its name post 2004 and every time my friend or I would bring up a game that we would want to play that seemed like would take forever to come out (twilight princess, final fantasy 13, etc.) we would always say that Duke Nukem would come out before it and we would always bust out laughing. But now that I played it.... I will miss that joke.... but hey, at least I now got a couple funny one liners. I got this game for $8 and if you can get this game for under $10 and have the slightest interest to see how bad this game is, you might or might not be dissapointed. This game is no Duke Nukem 3D,or a reinvention of the wheel, or turning water into whine, but it is a fulfillment on what I thought it would be. EXPLOSIONS, TITS, AND JOHN ST.JOHN. (8/10)

well done with that game and I got a gamecube memory now. What should I play next. Oh and I got a couple more games all for around $65 bucks.

odama

ninja gaiden dragon sword

bad boys miami takedown

tony hawk shred

sonic adventure dx

giest

metroid prime 2

resident evil 1 and 2

timesplitters 2

sonic gems collection

paper mario 2

kings field the ancient city

so..... what's next guys?

That's a lot of poor games. I see those in the bargain bin all the time. I would try Heavy Rain for an hour and see if I like it (personally I didn't) and throw out the rest.

+1 Try before you buy. Anyway 95% of that list are poor low quality games. No wonder they are all in the bargain bin: a lot of old and poor quality games and maybe 3 or 4 of those 50 games are worth playing. A few great games beats out 50+ bad games. Quality is far more important than quanity.

The four standout games for me on that list are: Final Fantasy XII, The Simpsons: Hit and Run, Prototype, and Heavy Rain Director's Cut. 10 games on that list are worth playing. The other 40 games are not really worth playing.

Wow you are a developers worstnightmare...

Everyone seems to be missing Skies of Arcadia legends or are too young to appreciate. That is the best game on that list. I command you to play it now

Then Heavy Rain

Then I hope you suggest one of those terrible games so you can make me have a miserable experience. :P
