Taking Q out of the equation, what do you think about Force Storm? I guess it is something that powerful Sith Jedi (whatever) can use to take out entire fleets of ships by themself. From what I have read, even Palpatine was able to do this.

Q can take out solar systems. then recreate it again just as it was just by thinking of it. I don't know anyother being on trek that could compare to jedi or sith.

There are a few.
Star Trek was fond of the "human's can't beat with power so they have to reason with them" 1-shot races.
In original series more then the rest, but they had it in TNG too.

comes to mind, with his ability to stop all time and to time travel... though actually is kinda weak compaired to some of the more exotic trek stuff.
Ah, here is a good one too..

Killed 50 billion aliens, all over the galaxy, in an instant.
Or this guy from the original series.

Or these guys who were able to stop all the Federation and Klingon ships anywhere.

Star Trek has a whole bunch of crazy "god like" creatures. Largely based due to the nature of the two different sotries. The Q just stand at the top of the list.
Star Trek was about explorers in an unsafe unknown enviroment, having creatures far beyond their ability is a standard theme since it worked as a way for the Federation to prove their superior morality to modern day humans.
