PC's are technically cheap knockoffs of Macs :-p

See Vista vs. OSX

Around the Network

I'm into PCs.  In my eyes Mac just cant compete with all the games that come out for Windows.

America = Best Gaming Console

Europe = Best Game Developers

Ok for those saying prices are comparable between the likes of Dell and a Mac a little price breakdown:

apple Imac:
2.4 ghz core 2 duo
2 gb ddr2 667 mhz ram
500 gb SATA HD unknown rpm
Ati Radeon 2600 pro 256 mb
8x dvd burner
24:lcd monitor
OS X
$2049 from the apple store

Dell
Q6600 Quad-Core 2.4 ghz
3 gb ddr2 800 mhz
nvidia geforce 8800gt 512 mb
500 gb sata 2 7200 rpm
Bluray dvd burner combo
24" lcd monitor
OS vista home premium
$1649 from dell

HP same as dell except for 8600gt instead 8800gt and 750 GB hd instead of 500 gb no bluray $1639.99

I tried to get them as close as possible but neither site really allows much in the way of customization. the dell gets faster ram, an extra gig of ram, same clock speed processor but quad instad of dual core(this processer benchmarks faster for the most part they are very comperable check out toms hardware cpu charts),a bluray player as well as dvd burner, and a much better video card. All that above and beyond the Mac and its $400 less. thats plenty left over for you to add bluetooth support if thats your thing.

If you were to build your own:

from Mwave:

Motherboard cpu ram bundel:6600 2.4 core 2 duo, Asus P5N32-E SLI(assuredly a much better board than the dell or apple plus sli capability), 2 gigs(1 gig x 2 dual channel) of OCZ 1066 mhz ram $568.20
Western digital 500 gb SATA 2.0 16 mb buffer $99.99
LG 20x dual layer DVD burner with lightscribe $29.90
XFX Geforce 8800 gt 512mb 625MHz DDR3 pcie 2.0 dual DVI $263.00
Thermaltake swing case(nice mid level case classy in apperance) $59.80
Thermaltake 600w W0103RU SLI certified power supply(leaps and bounds above and beyond dell and apple) $119.95
LOGITECH deluxe 250 desktop keyboard & mouse $8.99
24"KDS widescreen monitor 1080p with hdmi cable $369.90
microsoft vista home premium oem $99.84

total $1,629.57 or $1658.12 if you go with the quad 6600 2.4 ghz

Mac OS X is $109 on amazon if you want to go to the hassel

Personally at this performance level I'd go with an AMD 6400+(sits above or between these 2 intel chips on benchmarks) based system with a ASUS m3a32-mvp board, OCZ 800Mhz ddr2 ram, and a Radeon HD 3870 512mb ddr4. With the same componets listed above that puts you at $1,508.11

I'd like to compare the top end mac but I'm not finding any benchmarks for the software I use(gaming, photoshop, video editing Ect.)  due to their use of the Intel Xeon sever chips(none of the hardware sites seem to do benchmarks on the Xeons). IMO if you prefer OS X and are somewhat technically savy you would be better off building your own "Mac".

It should be noted that I personally Loath Dell but this particular machine is not a bad value. Subtract about $200 from the build price if you use a simular motherboard and powersupply to the dell.
