Yeah but you have to press shift and click
The Mac OS is superior to windows, but the hardware is overpriced. I prefer to build my own pc's and use linux (there are some distros out there that are very user friendly as well)

There are three alternatives, actually: Windows, Mac and free software desktops such as BSD, Linux or OpenSolaris.
All of these have the security, stability and clean, pretty design of Mac OS X with program choice and hardware compatibility of Windows and a zero price tag.
They can be customised to have any combination of looks or controls you want, eliminating the usability issues of switching from one or the other.
Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.
If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

I am not sure who was arguing for the Mac, but he didn't do a very good job.
I use a MS mouse on my Mac, right clicking brings up all the same things you would expect to see on a PC.
Word runs fine on my Mac. They make a Mac version. There are far more apps that run on my Mac then my PC. Being it's Unix based, virtually every Linux app will run.
Lastly, all the things you state are software related. My Mac Book Pro 17" was rated the fasted Vista Laptop of 2007. Even if you want to run a Windows OS, a Mac is better.
The only place it's not, is high end gamming, and I have my PS3/360 (and soon a Wii) for that :). I have many computers in my house. After purchasing my Mac, I hardly ever turn on my PC.

Fair enough it was two mac users and like 8 PC users, I didn't know you could just run vista straight of a mac, I guess XP was a very different situation. We were actually argueing about macbook (no right click) vs regular laptops, same difference.
Also there are a lot of good PC games for cheap that you would never get on a mac or a console.
screw win Vista PC's and screw mac's, just give me winXP on a PC and I'm good to go.
Why does the average college student need MS Word when they can use openoffice.org for free? I certainly can't see myself spending a couple hundred on Word...

^ I think word is the standard in word proccessing, everyone has easy access to it when they get a windows PC.
Also a lot of people are not smart enought to look elsewhere
