200k is good for Zelda? I don't know.

For a Zelda game in Japan? Of course this is good.

I'm thinking Zelda is more of a portable franchise in Japan. Both DS games did 300k FW and OoT 3D did 166k. Compared to these numbers 200k for SS isn't really impressive.

But as I said, FW means little for a game like SS in Japan.

Not bad for Zelda I guess. Wii holiday legs are finally starting to show though!

Looks like 3DS is saved in Japan. It's incredible how a company quicly turned its fate around. Something that can't be said about the Dreamcast.

Hmm I always though Zelda was bigger in Japan.
I wonder if Nintendo will learn from 3DS case what a fair price and games can do for a system launch.

yay for Ninty, and MK7/MH are not even here yet!!

Psp doing excellent considering 3DS dominating and PsV coming soon...

Ps3 is great as well, same for Zelda, Wii could be higher though

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

20k for Wii, sweet, now, I wonder if it can maintain the level next week.

My faith in humanity is back, as Zelda fw appears to be higher than MW3

MW3 sold 210K taking the X360 version into account, still more than Zelda.

Crap!, you're right.

I thought Zelda was a realy popular title over in Japan.

But Zelda legs will surely put MW3 to shame anyway, so it's not really something to worry about I think. You can still trust humanity :)

It was inevitable that Skyward Sword would have a better opening week than Twilight Princess, but it's well down on Wind Waker's opening week (which was over 350,000). Perhaps it will hold as well as Donkey Kong Country Returns did last year - if not, it might struggle to reach 0.5m.

would be surprised if it doesn't outsell Twilight Princess Wii with the holiday coming up.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I would have initially, but second week sales might be a better indicator than first week sales.  What did TP do - 600k?  If SS drops much below 100k this week then I doubt it will catch it.
