Famitsu's editors have awarded their latest perfect score. This time, an overseas game finally managed to cross the 39 barrier and received a perfect 40 as Famitsu's four person review crew each scored The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim a 10. The game sees PS3 and Xbox 360 release on the 8th.

Of all western games, I'm glad skyrim was the one to breach the barrier. Hopefully this will spur more interest in the title. Maybe the ps3 version can sell 100k+ week 1!

So, they are totally fine with the various bugs in the game and give it perfect?

It's a surprise, western game with a perfect score in Japan?, O.k to me this is the best title the west have done till now, but I heard console game has bugs, so a perfect score? any way I think this title will sell in Japan

I think this is something reviewers need to talk about. No game can ever be flawless but what is the limit to being ok and being to the point where the score is altered because of the bugs. 

Personally, Ive had less issues with the 360 version then other titles on the 360. Ive only had 2 freeze ups but i do notice the random low framerate. Minus that tho I havent had any other issue. None of those would effect my score for the game but thats just me. 

I dont think the game is a perfect score (no game is) but its a great game. its my pick for Game of the year.

in theory, Skyrim is brilliant, but the state it'S released in is nothing better than oblivion back then - and something that will be game of the year simply mustnt be flawed that much technically.

Exactly its a great game but the glitches bring it down id still give it a 9 though.
