I think one of the biggest things they f*cked up in MW3 is the 'Assassin' Perk. It's way too good. It makes you undetectable to everything but air support!! In Black ops 'Ghost' perk made you undetecatble to UAV but not motion sensors. You needed 'Hacker pro' for that. In MW2 'Cold blooded' made you undetectable to UAV but not heartbeat sesnor. 'Ninja' was needed also. That made the game dynamics very interesting especially in tactical game modes like S&D. MW3 really screwed shit like this up.
CoD4 - Best maps in the series, simple and not OP killstreaks, best sniping, most gun-on-gun action, etc.
WaW - Good killstreaks, good maps, one of the best WWII games ever, sadly this game was overshadowed by CoD4
MW2 - Ruined by bullshit: Overpowered new killstreaks, OMA noob tubes, commando knifing, OP quickscoping, OP shotguns and machine pistols (good enough to be primary weapons but they're listed as secondaries), introduced deathstreaks, Akimbo Model 1887, and pretty average maps.
Blops - Good maps like Firing Range and Summit, cool new theatre mode. To me it was ruined by Ghost, Second Chance and brutal hit detection.
MW3 - Horrid maps and killstreak spam for days but its better than BO or MW2.
OTHER - Call of Duty (original)
Criminally undervalued this one. The single-player, unlike some of the recent incarnations, was tense and sensationally effective; the Stalingrad level, where you are pushed onto the shore clutching only your ammunition and have to dodge fire ripping apart your strafing comrades is one of the last generation's great moments. The multi-player was also class; uncomplicated and uncompromising, it still has a sizeable following, whilst Pavlov's house is a brilliant, frantic, multi-layered death-zone. Much like the real place then . .
Sun-Tzuing my way to the necessary 100 posts - Sorry!
Modern Warfare 4 with its more than awesome campaign and memorable multiplayer maps.
went with MW3. In MW2 you would have a lot more slow paced matchs. It is quite rare in 3 for a match to go the full 10 min. Maps are alot better than people are saying. Right now I am a lvl 45 2nd prestige and I am not tired of any of them, and there is not one map that when I have to play it I hate. In WaW there about 5 that just plain sucked, in MW2 there was maybe 3 or so that I hated, so far I do not hate any map in MW3, Outpost and Interchange have moments where I they piss me off then I will go 18-4 next time I play them or something like that. Either way those 2 are the only ones I vote against.
Only pet peeve is that if you are on a below average team you NEED Assassin. If not you will be slaughtered by all the people with UAV on and hardline.
