OTHER - Call of Duty (original)
Criminally undervalued this one. The single-player, unlike some of the recent incarnations, was tense and sensationally effective; the Stalingrad level, where you are pushed onto the shore clutching only your ammunition and have to dodge fire ripping apart your strafing comrades is one of the last generation's great moments. The multi-player was also class; uncomplicated and uncompromising, it still has a sizeable following, whilst Pavlov's house is a brilliant, frantic, multi-layered death-zone. Much like the real place then . .
