Forums - Sales - Early Preview: The Big WInners of Black Friday in North America.

Thanks for the info. Any view on Kinect standalone sales vs bundles? I got the impression a lot of people were buying it standalone vs bundles from other sources and a single confirmed source would be good.

Sounds like worldwide it's going to be a very close race. 360 should top US, 3DS is going to take a big jump forward and PS3 is going to do well although spread more evenly by region. Now if we just had numbers on the front page to judge by...

Kinect standalone did great thanks to its holiday bundle that came with Gunstringer, Fruit Ninja Kinect, and Kinect Adventures bundled and with a $40 price cut.  Most stores were sold out by Saturday on all MS hardware including 250 GB, 4GB, and Kinect standalones.

The two weeks prior to Black Friday I thought MS was crazy overstuffing the channels with far too much shipment but I couldn't have been more wrong.  The 360 officially owns the holidays now.

I don't thin 360 will be far off a 1 million week worldwide.... might even breach it.

That's 800k in the Americas for 1 million worldwide. I'd be blown away.

I would not be surprised if it actually did 1 million. Kinect seems to be what the Wii was 2006-2009 during the holiday season. Still hoping for a last hurrah of the Wii cause of its price and Zelda.

Except Ben said the standalone 4GB 360 was the big seller, not the Kinect Holiday Bundle.  So yes, the 360 is popular, but its diffently not just because of Kinect.

@ OP

Why do you think the Wii will be ahead of the PS3 when you yourself said the that the big sellers at Gamestop were the 3DS, 360, and PS3?

The 4gig xbox was the big seller at gamestop because it was the only xbox on sale there, at least according to the add I saw.

Walmart for example had the kinect bundles on sale and no doubt it was the big seller there.

Told you so

Cant wait to see 360 sales when the 4 gb sku is officially $150

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Ya no doubt an official $150 360 as well as a price cut on Kinect would make the 360 litteraly unbeatable for the rest of the generation in NA.
