I came into this thread with one game in mind. Star Wars Battlefront 3. See my sig. I have literally been waiting for this game for six years. I nearly died when I saw the leaked video and realized that we would never get to see that version of the game. Ever. I would pay good money (for a college student) to get my hands on that. But it warms my heart to see so many people want the game.
EDIT: Just for curious people, the most recent knowledge I have is that it could be at Spark Unlimited. Their next project will be revealed sometime next year, so we'll find out then. This site is for the obsessed people like me who's very existence is dependant on the announcement and release of the game. Also... This! There is hope!
I don't like the idea of directly controlling the pokemon. I don't mind if the battle system is more like an RTS than an RPG, but controlling the pokemon like I was playing an action game removes the feeling of commanding a team of creatures you've trained and bred. Besides, one way to really improve the combat would be to let the player easily control 3 or more pokemon simultaneously in battle ,where their abilities can compliment each other. You can do this in an RTS or a combat system similar to kingdom hearts with a tag button, but even that is too much direct control.
How come you didn't suggest a pokemon MMORPG? Releasing that within two years of the WiiU's launch will not only show that Nintendo is serious about online with the WiiU, but will probably put the WiiU firmly in first position for at least the first half of next gen!

because a pokemon was already made but nintendo shut it down. it was free and apparently really really good. to be honest i hate nintendo as a company because of crap like that.
directly controled pokemon would bring new life into t he game, you still command them but now its more skill involved also it be nice to see the moves in real time, i mean immagine flying high as charizard in high speed air fights, then switching to sandshrew and digging at under ground to hit the opponent.
it would be more like the TV show which is good.
we all want Star Wars Battlefront 3
I'll also add a new Ogre Battle game, with Matsuno leaving for Level-5, but Square-Enix keeping the rights to the franchise, we probably won't see anything of the series.

Shining Force 4
Streets Of Rage 4
Baldur's Gate 3
Fallout 3 ***In the style of Fallout 1 and 2***

Streets of Rage 4 would make me crap my pants lol.

A full on 3D, open world Pokemon game a la Skyrim... how sick would that be???
Of course, this is Nintendo we're talking about, so the most we could hope for on the Wii U is some sort of Pokemon Stadium / Coliseum sequel.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
and pokemon stadium was pretty terrible = i actually played that on thanks giving and never realized how bad console pokemon games have been.

I played that MMO - it was called PokeNet. It was brilliant- only a relatively small fanbase, but we were growing fast. Had created the entirity of Kanto and Johto and were partway through making Hoenn; fully online- trading/battling etc. Lots of potential
