I don't mind if the battle system is more like an RTS than an RPG, but controlling the pokemon like I was playing an action game removes the feeling of commanding a team of creatures you've trained and bred. Besides, one way to really improve the combat would be to let the player easily control 3 or more pokemon simultaneously in battle ,where their abilities can compliment each other. You can do this in an RTS or a combat system similar to kingdom hearts with a tag button, but even that is too much direct control. How come you didn't suggest a pokemon MMORPG? Releasing that within two years of the WiiU's launch will not only show that Nintendo is serious about online with the WiiU, but will probably put the WiiU firmly in first position for at least the first half of next gen! |
because a pokemon was already made but nintendo shut it down. it was free and apparently really really good. to be honest i hate nintendo as a company because of crap like that.
directly controled pokemon would bring new life into t he game, you still command them but now its more skill involved also it be nice to see the moves in real time, i mean immagine flying high as charizard in high speed air fights, then switching to sandshrew and digging at under ground to hit the opponent.
it would be more like the TV show which is good.
