It doesn't have to be just games you bought, but someone may have bought for you. This can include retail games, XBLA/PSN/Wiiware games, Steam, and/or older games. For me I bought 9 retail games(2 older and 6 new) and 12 XBLA games for a total of = 21 games. I'm obviously not done with purchases, because I plan on getting AC: Revelations and Skyrim so 22 by the end of the year. If you want to list all the games you bought that would be awesome. 

I just bought Modern Warfare 3. I don't have money to buy 10-15 games like i used to.

I'm at 31 right now, with at least Rayman Origins still coming and probably Saints row 3.
Driver 3 and Adventures of Tin Tin next year when they're cheaper.

I sold about 10 games during the year as well to finance new game purchases.

Roughly 1 a month, but I've missed a few

I voted for 31-35, but I'm sure it's more than 50 actually. I just can't miss a good bargain. I bought Assassin's Creed 2 for £5 and Battle for Middle Earth for £2 three days ago.
I also bought 5 games from the trial/unlock special offer on psn.

I regret buying most of them, as I have no time to play them.

Let's see:

Wii: Skyward Sword

3DS: Nintendogs + Cats, Super Street Fighter 4, Lego Star Wars, Ocarina of Time 3D

Will buy: Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7

So 7 games altogether. Considering I resolved this year to game less, this is good. :)

It seems like I haven't really bought much games this year but looking back now it is quite a bit.
I counted about 25, but maybe 7 or so came out this year, most of them were bargain deals that I can't pass up lol.

That's what I was thinking until I realized how many arcade games I bought; almost all half off because of deals. Most of the games I bought this year are older games so in reality I didn't spend that much. 

If my list of games is correct, then 13, and will be 15 once Zelda Skyward Sword and Super Mario 3D Land arrive.
