Agreed. My wife is on er 4th Android phone in as many months. The OS is poor on resource, and it runs at peak alot of the time. Android keps the phone way to hot when in heavy use and is killing my wifes phones. She is tied by contract so as to have a same replacement. Its the last time she wil own an Android. Not to mention the virus protection. To be honest Android is a mess to use, and much slower than my WP7 even though her hardware is alot better.

She restarts her phone at least 4 times a day. The last time my WP7 was restarted was 01/10/2011 @ 11:23am.

Nokia Lumia 800 sales going way better than previously reported

The other day we told you about the Pacific Crest analyst James Faucette prediction that Nokia WP devices will have a dismal quarter and will hardly sell the targeted quarter million units. Now we've got some sites closer to Nokia saying that the report was basically full of it and the demand for the Lumia 800 is quite high.

And here come some facts to back up those claims. The Nokia Lumia 800 is the second most-popular smartphone in the Vodafone UK website, just behind the black iPhone 4S. What's more the cyan version of the WP smartphone comes in third and that one is still on pre-order.

The online store of the Netherlands carrier KPN tells a similar story, with the Nokia Lumia 800 the second best-selling smartphone there. Some other Dutch stores also list the Lumia 800 as sold out, though we are not sure if that's due to high interest or low supply.

We also got word that many Orange stores in UK are out of Nokia Lumia 800 units to sell.

We'll only know for sure when the Q4 numbers came in, but for now it seems there's more truth to the Nokia reports that they are having the best first week of sales so far, than to that Pacific Crest analysis.

This.

Nokia are doing very good in the news in EU.

WP7 and Nokia ar making waves.

My next Windows Phone will be a Nokia if the updated Lumia 800 comes to the US.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

I hope our Finnish company gets back in its feet..I love Nokia hardware and I think it would be number 1 again if it had Android.

Take my love, take my land..

Funny how Compal became OEM for Nokia and its volume counts as sales through for the latter :)

There so many cell phones that are released weekly, its very difficult to make expectation sales when there is always a shinier phone coming out the following week....Plus lets not forget the Iphone, which sells and sells, no matter the market....They recently released the IPhone 4S...which is the same IPhone 4 with new apps, and it sold 4 million units in the first 3 days...I just wish a good luck to Nokia Lumia.....
