Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Devil May Cry 4 More Cheaper on 360 then PS3?

Wow, when I started the thread I didn't realize that there was descrepancy in that many regions for 360 and PS3 games... I knew Wii games were cheaper, but I didn't think there would be a difference betwwen 360 and PS3...

Here in Canada they are always the same price on release. Interesting...

Around the Network

The Orange Box in the US is cheaper on the PC. So is every other PC/Console game.

In the UK Wii games are the cheapest followed by the 360 then the PS3. Obviously there are exceptions but that's the general trend.

According to Capcom's VP on their forums:

"This looks like an Australia thing so unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you immediately... in the US, we're pricing both platforms the same."

Isn't the PC version cheaper because development for PC was cheaper?

It's probably more to do with the fact that there are no $8-$10 licensing fees for PC games.  Also studios working on PC games don't have to worry about buying expensive development kits.  Of course studios working on their second or third or whatever game usually have that part of the extra cost already paid off by their previous game(s).
