"There were 3.35 million available jobs at the end of September, up from August's upwardly revised 3.13 million, according to the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey released on Tuesday."

to be honest however, there are a lot of job postings but companies are not filling them.

"1. Cancel your bank accounts
2. Sell your common stocks, withdraw RRSPs, and all other investments.
3. Don't work for anyone with links to a corporation
4. File for bankruptcy if you have debt."

That is dumb, why ruin your life...

That is why OWS fails, they want to bring down the whole system.
The system has it flaws but I think the system treats me okay, so I do not want it to be destroyed. I think that is the opinion of most Americans.
I work in a decent job, have some investments and have a great credit score and my bank likes me.

lol

These protesters are protesting all the wrong things which is why I'm sick of this occupy wall street thing. It should be occupy the whitehouse/federal reserve/congress...not wall street aka the people that create jobs, wealth, etc.

But they don't create jobs and wealth. They just sit around trading each other funny money and don't do a damn thing to increase actual value. That belongs with entrepreneurs and people who are actually on the ground and, you know, making things or providing services.

So who does create jobs and wealth then? Its certainly not the government. Government kills more jobs than it creates.

We have to separate the businesses and investors that actually do stuff from the ones that don't. To act like all of these wall street people are inherently job-creators is just as blind as any other fallacy, and lets them continue with their exploitation unopposed

The cult of wealth in this country needs to end. These people are no better than the average hardworking person, save by flukes of being in the right place at the right time

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

so if your rich through playing the stock market, the govt should take your home and let 10 homeless famalies sit there?

lol

Of course not all business is job creators but remember a poor person never created a job.

The people who create job are upper middle class small business owners and rich people.

movement has really gone off the rails in Canada, they have gotten more radical and more concerned about living in a park then their message.

My friend said it best...

"As time goes by it seems to not be the 99% and 1%, more like 1% and 98% and the other 1%... lol"

That quote was presented as something the OWS protesters were NOT doing or proposing.  Combine that with your response to Mr Khan and I don't think you are paying much attention to what you read -- only enough to trigger a preformulated bullet point response you've internalized from your propaganda of choice.

In regards to the bit that I bolded:

I'm not trying to be a dick when I say this but let's be honest...not everyone has the skills/knowledge to run a successful Wall street business, but any physically able person in America could be a successful garbage man, janitor, factory worker, etc. I'm in no way insulting people who do these jobs, they are good hardworking people...but when they do simple work that anyone can learn they don't deserve the same pay as the CEO of a multinational company with thousands of employees worldwide.

Plus I don't get how you think Wall Street doesn't create jobs. The government only creates jobs by taking money from one person and giving it to another guy...but the Wall Street (or just entrepreneurs in general) actually make new jobs out of nothing by starting/expaning businesses.

Yes I did read the Mr Khan's post and he has agreeable points however he forgets that our society is not based solely on hard you work.

It is based on how smart you work.

Also Wall Street does not equal Corporate America and for certain not entrepreneurs in General. Meaning a big portion of the business world does think Wall Street is acted and is still acting like a bunch of idiots.

Lol best OWS cartoon.

If they had an objective they might have been able to reach it or make an impact during the initial stages. Now they have gone past the opportunity for a real impact and are more of a nuisance/sideshow.

They really needed some leadership.

Yeah in Vancouver they are playing games now by hopping from one park to the next and getting evicted.

Lol what do you think people in Vancouver think about these protestors compared to a month ago?
