It's funny how people constantly bitch about patches like they're some sort of crutch or excuse to release unfinished games but those people always forget to realize that if the ability to patch wasn't there those same games would still be shipped and you would be shit out of luck.  Like in the 90's.

I don't remember as many game breaking bugs from the 90's though, and far less glitches as well. Of course the games nowadays are far more complex. Not neccesarily in size, might and magic series were huge as well, maybe even bigger in area.

Anyway I stuck with my pure mage, lowered the difficulty and simplified my spell arsenal to get a bit more streamlined experience instead of opening the fav menu 5 times and needing avg 20 clicks for each fight, not even counting the actual attacks. The left, right button shortcut help a lot, I just wish you could use more hot keys and that they would switch back to the previous spell if clicked again.

The world is top notch anyway, awesome to walk around and explore. Hopefully next-gen can do away with the loading screens. How can it stream that gigantic world but not stream in a dungeon, town or house when you walk into it. Then immersion will be complete.

Btw 36 hours in, save game reaching 7mb and ran perfectly fine last night. Just stuttering now and then when walking around Whiterun. Still very playable.

That is because you had no internet then, if you had no internet now you probably woud not have known most/all of those bugs...In the 90's it was cool to find a bug or glitch.....

There are no bigger games than Oblivion and Skyrim apart from MMOs. The amount of content in Elder Scrolls is an order of magnitude bigger than a game like Call o Duty or Uncharted.

People like me love huge games to explore and get immersed into for months. We don't have very many games to choose from. But luckily Bethesda is one of very few developers who likes to make huge games where the player is free to do what he wants to. But then all these people appear and start complaining about bugs and glitches. It's so unfair.

I say be gone with you. Go play your beloved Uncharteds, Call of duties and Gears of Wars for your bugs free experience.

If only people knew how many factors a developer has to try to keep track of when making the biggest open world games in history o mankind. And if only they knew how dedicated and passionate Bethesda are about their games.

I agree with you, the game is awesome and problems are being blown out of proportion. To Wagram defense though, if a bug of this magnitude would exist (the game becomes nearly unplayable after 6 Mb saves), it would be totally unacceptable. We arent talking of one quest out of hundreads that bug in specific conditions. Its something that should have come out in QA. Anyway, it doesnt even seem like a real issue, so it does prove your point even more. The only reasons to not play this game is because your either at work or making out lol.

Well, There´s a huge amount of complaints on the official Bethesda forums (seriously, check it out for yourself:http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/forum/182-playstation-3/)....apparently, the game breaking bug is real and it is indeed unacceptable.

Several sites have stories about it:

Hmm fallout NV crashing on me repeatedly and a main quest that could not be completed having to go back to an old save 6 hours back to choose a different path were not just things I read on the internet.

Skyrim isn't problem free for me either, sometimes my left hand stops working with fast healing assigned, I either die or notice it just in time to reset it through the menu and drink a quick potion. I've been launched 100ft in the air by a giant, got stuck in the terrain, looked through the ground on several occasions, had a couple of freezes but it recovered after 5-10 seconds. Collision errors with spells. Getting hit through solid obstacles. Repeatedly got stuck in doorways with familiars or followers, have followers and friendly AI turn on me after walking into my spells, or simply go out of their way to block me.

Yeah it was cool to find a bug or glitch in the 90's because they were hard to find. Actually I did have internet or equivalent in the 90's, I've been downloading walkthroughs or faqs from bulletin board systems since 1988.

The game is awesome, but it's defininately not working perfectly fine.

You and many others just seek reasons to criticize the game, but the truth is that you were against it from the beginning. You would never have liked Skyrim anyway!

Memory leaks and other memory management problems have happened many times before in games, especially on PC. Yes it's potentially game breaking but it's also easily patched and will be fixed shortly.

I have 35 hours played on the PS3 version and I'm not in the least afraid (and the bugs Ive encountered so far have been very few and minor btw).

That is indeed unexcusable. I'm glad I haven't had it quite that bad yet, not looking forward to big outdoor fights. 1 conjurer and 2 bears at the same time outside already started to get things quite choppy for me. I cast my flame atronach and it sometimes takes 5 seconds or more for it to appear. Same with switching weapons, it takes longer and longer before the new one appears. The pop up is becoming more and more noticeable outside as well, last night a whole house appeared out of thin air 10 ft in front of me. It's holding up better inside as long as I stay away from ps3s kryptonite, lots of transparancies.

Anyway it's hard talking to addicts, denial is the first stage and the toughest ;)

The one thing I have a problem with is switching to the healing spell during combat. It takes forever for it to activate, even with me pressing R1 constantly. It's not really lg, but it feels like it.

This issue is also in the 360 version.  I'm a dual wielder so i switch out alot when there are 4 or more enemies on me.  It's gotten me killed far too many times.

Everyday a new glitch, last night a whole section of cave was missing. The npc I walked into it and fell down into the netherworld. I saved and reloaded on the spot and luckily the cave was back, but the npc was still somewhere under the world. Going outside and back in luckily reset him.

Frame rate is frequently dropping into the teens now outside with a lot of extra stuttering during fights, 7.5mb save file. It's getting impossible to aim because of this, time to switch tactics and hack away with a sword instead.

Better hurry with that patch, it's slowly grinding down to a halt.
