There should be a petition for HD DVD to be axed now, that way their will finally be 1 standard format and this will lead to higher adoption rates of HD technology in general.

Actually, there's already a petition to MS to just let BluRay win.

Don't waste your money and time people. Sell your HD-DVD stuff as soon as possible, it's still worth some money. In a few months will be impossible to sell. Cut your losses guys. "8"

In response to the topic title, no, I don't want to save it. HD formats can die for all I care.

 yup.  I already have a pretty good collection.....that plays just fine on my plasma.  I don't want to be forced to by a proprietary disk from Sony just so they can charge me up the wazoo.  DVD has at least 10 years left.

How about buying HD-DVD in bulk? I doubt most of either side's fanboys buy that many of their supposed chosen format, and in this case, that's stupid because you have to put your money where your mouth is.
