I'm sorry if im coming across as getting worked up, im not.  I just didnt know what this x-band was or what it had to do with online. Im going with they are porting the game or touching the rom I seriously doubt Ninty is updating the emulator this late in the game.  I just feel Capcom is going to pull another Mvs.C3, lets release the inferior version of the game and later on we'll release the version that should have been released in the first place. But WTH, they have been getting away with this all gen, so Wii only owners enjoy.

X-band was the first thing that allowed network play on consoles.  I just couldn't remember if it was Genesis only.

Really?? How come they never implemented network play on Genesis then???

They did, that's what the device was for.

I do but I grew up playing this version of the game. I sure hope they kept the scratchy cat like voices all the characters had...

This is true, but you can revert the sprites though.  But I agree, I like pulling out my Hyper Street Fighter 2 every now and then for nastalgia.

It's amazing that people didn't know there's 6-Button controllers on the Genesis.. I don't even play Super Street Fighter II on my genesis anymore because I need new 6 button controllers, and I'm being very picky with the model (The one that came packed with the Sega Genesis Model 3)
