Forums - Gaming - MW3 and Metacritics - some are taking it too far.. ?

i would have never thought that i talk that way about the CoD Franchise, but seeing how low MW3 scores with the Users on Metacritics, i cant help myself, i really feel bad for sledgehammer. (While laughing at Activision)

Of course, a new installment in any franchise will piss some people off - if we talk FF, GoW, or CoD. Not everyone can get what was expected from a new Entry in any series.

But the fact that you dont have to own the game, to rate it poorly gives haters the chance to deal some damage - not to the sales, but to the developers who put their efforts into the game. kinda the same if we talk battlefield 3, the german amazon rating is below 2 stars, since everyone hates Origin for beeing a pretty much a trojan. Of course origin Sucks balls, but does the game itself? Simply put: No.

what do you think ppl? i really feel bad for the Dev's, even if i dont care if EA and Activision are beeing shit-talked, there are other people involved in those games, too.

I feel starting a thread about this non-issue is taking it too far

well I consider the user scores on most any site to be meaningless and driven more by console preference than actual game quality. So I would suggest you can't go too far in messing up a metric that's meaningless.

...

Considering sold nearly 10million day one... who the fuck cares what the metacritic user score is?

They are just trying to help the sheep not buy some over-hyped non sense!
I would suggest everyone to go by the user score as a better representation of the game

The game sold roughly 9.6M copies. I don't think they care. Lol.

I guess it just shows how pathetic some people can be.

I know that is what we should be thinking, and just enjoying the game, but it does annoy me how pathetic some people are. Whether or not you like the game, it is VERY VERY clear that the game is not worth a 0, if you think it is dull and repetitive, it is 5 or 6, not a 0!

But maybe it just says something about how pathetic I am getting annoyed about this...

Fully agree. I have zero interest in COD and think BF is FAR superior in almost every way (local multiplayer is lacking on BF), but I would never have rated it a 0... hell I wouldn't rate it as all as I don't own it. But there are this odd creature known as a fanboy who cares too much about their favorites that they feel some kind of accomplishment in these actions.

^ this is what i meant, poor emo-ish dev's. i want to hug them. =(

but i guess you guys are right, in the end - i wouldnt care that much either if i sold a bazillion copies. but there still is that 'what if..', which was kinda confirmed for at least one of the dev's with the link posted. x)
