Who was right in the long term?

Soviet Union 31 15.98%

Nazi Germany 53 27.32%

USA\UK 110 56.70%

nobody... sad chapter of the world.

Around the Network

I bet if Germany won we would have:

1 - well... not a cold war, but an ideological, long standing conflit of sorts between authoritarism and liberalism.
2 - URSS and China broken up
3 - communist parties would be sort of illegal, and neocommies would be considered a problem in society.
4 - social riots for the ending of the Reich and the Japanese Empire by the late 80's
5 - history books depicting Stalin as a sort of genocidal satan
6 - ficiton works about how bad the world would be should the URSS won WW2
7 - Germany as a sole, first page region in VGChartz

Nobody won really except for the US and mainly economically at that.

On a side note, during the 2nd world war 6 million poles were killed. 40 million people in general were killed during this conflict.

Half of those 6 million polish citizens were jews that either died i concentration camps, jewish ghettos or during local uprisings or local mass murders comitted. In just Warsaw, the capital of Poland, there were over 400k Jews of which over 90% were killed by the occupying german forces.

So no more bullshit on this"no reliable data" quack you're spouting from your mouth snakenobi. I have very little patience for people like you and if you so much as say another word trying to negate the amount Jews killed or how they were killed, I will be more than happy to inform the appropriate organization this thread.

If i lose access to this profile as well....I'm done with this site.....You've been warned!!.....whoever you are...

When Britain had slavery, so did the USA, so obviously the US wasn't going to complain about the slave trade.

As for whether it was "policing", I would ask you to define what you consider "policing".  It seems to me you've said in earlier posts that the US would have been justified if they went to war with Japan over their invasions of innocent Asian countries, but the embargo was not justified, even cutting off US trade alone was unjustified.  That doesn't make any kind of sense so maybe I misunderstood.  Please carefully and clearly explain your position and your logic about how the US was wrong in its conduct with Japan in the decade(s) prior to WWII.

Slave trade was started by the british and other europe powers back then not by usa.usa also got the slaves free from slavery.and british slavery was continued till 20th century

in my repon se about japan trade embargo.i meant if usa was that worried then they should have gone to war themselves not just say,we have an anglo american empire and anybody else tries to make their own,we will not let them.

British slavery predates the United States of America, that's true.  But Britain seems to have freed its slaves in 1834 (1860 in the case of British India) and I would like you to provide evidence that they practiced slavery after 1900.  1860 is also earlier than 1865, when the USA abolished slavery.

How would going to war to stop Japan's expansion not count as "not letting them" build their own empire?

they stopped slavery and started economic slavery by control or the economic system trought their empire.the fact that they were an 'empire' itself tell us what they were doing

I am not convinced this "economic slavery" you speak of is actual slavery.  You'd have to explain how that is an analogous situation and not just a figure of speech or exaggeration.  I'm not saying you're wrong but you haven't established you're right.

And you didn't answer the second point at all.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

Vgchartz must really be going downhill if these three things happen:

1. The OP only admits to holocaust denial and nobody bats an eye

2. This is one of the most discussed threads on the forums,

3. That this thread can even be considered a semi-serious discussion or question.
