There's nothing wrong with it from either side of the equation. It is not my preference, but there's nothing wrong with it.
Personally though, I am not comfortable getting into an intimate relationship with someone with such an aggressive avatar.
Judging from other comments in this thread though, it seems I might have overexaggerated the significance of spurgeonryan reaching out to me. It is possible that he is not really interested in me as a person, but rather would like to add 5 more game ranking points to his account.
I am starting to feel used.

Things aren't looking too good for Bong Lover.

I think the best course of action now would be to start a group therapy club for all the people on this site who have had to suffer the hit and run nature of spurgeonryan's friendship. Remember Bong Lover, no matter how bad this makes you feel suicide is not a viable alternative.
This is a sad day for Vgchartz.
It wouldn't like this if more of you provided reach-arounds for him. Our relationship is still strong because of this.

It is true that so far my friendship with spurgeonryan is off to a slow start, but lets be honest here. It is only natural that the first days of a new relationship be a little awkward. I don't yet know much about our mutual friend, and I suspect I am still a bit of an unknown to him as well. It will take time.
To keep this from regressing into another gballzack incident I will attempt to engage spurgeonryan more directly in the forums. I am sure once we get to know eachother a little better we will be like two peas in a pod.
The responses to this thread are why I love VGC.

It took me some time to accept the friend request because I was asleep when you issued it. I am sorry if you think I ignored you for some time. I admit to stalling for a few minutes, maybe 3, before accepting your request, but that was because your avatar is so violent as I said earlier.
