I really need to play Batman and Portal 2 to get a flavor for what my GOTY would be. But I haven't finished Uncharted 3 yet, am still actively playing Gears 3 and MW3 and picking up Skyrim tomorrow. When will I have the time for more games?!

Personally, I think I will end up investing the most amount of time in either Gears or Skyrim, so would guess one of those would be MY GOTY.

As far as the "awarded" GOTY, not sure I really keep too much track of that. Which game won it last year??

Uncharted 3 got the highest score so far of 2011 on IGN and Gametrailers.

It will pick up a few awards. Whether its IGN and GT related, no idea, but it definetly will have a few.

The majority though, I believe will be Zelda. It has 98 metacritic at the moment (even though its just based on 4).

Even the most glowing reviews I've read mention all the usual hard locks and crashes that I've come to expect from Bethesda games. Those bastards have gotten me with nigh-on unplayable versions of Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas now, and I'll be fucked if I'm buying Skyrim before it's gotten patched a few dozen times.

yeah don't kn ow i played oblivion ~300 hours from day one (or even few days earlier like this time) and there i didn't have the huge problmes others had as well. same with fallout, played it ~250 hours with all the add-ons and no big problems.

maybe the force is with me lol.

Well, I think it has Vgchartz GOTY award pretty much locked.
And I think it will be the game with the most GOTY, followed by Zelda, followed by Uncharted.
