Honestly I am not that stunned fact is all the 3DS owners have been waiting for this game, considering how little software has been selling opposed to hardware high sales of Super Mario 3D Land were a given. I expect Mario kart 7 to have massive sales perhaps even greater then Super Mario 3D Land. In all honesty even with these sales software sales on the 3DS are still well below what they should be. It'll be interesting to see how well this game sells in the coming weeks and how long its legs will be!

yeah i really don't see why everyone is surprised, mario is huge and moves a lot of software and hardware. and there are a ton of mario fans sitting on the sidelines waiting to jump on board and we are seeing that now

3ds is only going to soar from here with mario kart and monster hunter on the way

weak sales, NSMB DS sold over 900K its first week in Japan (same with NSMB Wii)

Whatchutalkinbout, Willis?!?

Almost every main game in the series has seen a Western release, but the simple truth of the matter is that the MH franchise isn't anywhere near as big in the west as it is in Japan for various reasons (one being the lack of PSP support over here vs its popularity in Japan).

as you can see Mario = boost (No Change) is not the right answer.
