Forums - Gaming - Worst games you actually paid for and tried to play

I've never bought a bad game. Any bad game I've played was given to me, played on a friend's system, etc
1. Bounty Hounds on PSP - IGN said it was bland, and really, it was
2. Iron Man on PSP - Again, IGN's review was accurate. It just isn't fun
3. Untold Legends(not sure of the name) - A dungeon crawler on the PSP with a Diablo style loot system and probably a level cap of a million..............you can potentially do the exact same thing for years in this game.
I'll post again when I remember more

OMG is this the game you're talking about:

I bought it an holy shit was it boring, I sold it within a week of buying it.  Good job on remembering this, I had completely blocked it out.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Rogue Warrior , oh the shame , the shame and I oftened wondered why the North Korean leadership was crazy now I know what drove them over the edge.

But the Micky Rourke commentary almost made it bareable. Am i right?

What the hell was that song

sorry Mickey Rourke. He is an actor and he voiced the main character i believe.

Yes I know his swearing is top notch my comment was about the game and the credits song have you heard it.I never made it that far but saw it on youtube you should google it.

Only thing somewhat recent for me has been SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation.

As for the guys saying Yoshi's Island DS...I didn't think it was all that bad.  I actually quite enjoyed it.

It certainly wasn't a bad game (which is why I didn't originally post it), as it had some enjoyable moments. But for me, it couldn't hold a candle to the sublime Yoshi's Island on the SNES, and that's why it's my biggest disappointment this gen.

I'm not entirely sure that's fair.  I mean, basing a game on whether it's as good as its precessesor is a little unfair when you're comparing to a bona fide classic.  Personally, I Felt it was as good as could be expected.

I had mid expectations for this game, but it was just a disaster.

The music made my ears bleed, the baby switching mechanic was a huge mess, the level design was terrible, the overall design felt poor, and the difficulty spikes felt as if they just threw all the worlds randomly.

I remember buying Pit Fighter for SNES. Now, THAT was a bad game. I dare anyone that has not played it to try it and tell me it is not one of the worst games ever produced. It is.

I am sure if I go through my collections, I could find some bad games, but I probably did not play them. Contra Force was also pretty bad and although I did not buy it (it was gifted), it still deserves to be mentioned here.

I'm pretty sure the Genesis version is also horrible.  On thing the Snes and the Genesis had in common is that they had a lot of bad arcade and PC ports.

Soul Calibur Legends (Wii) - rented on Gamefly and my wife really enjoyed it so I ended up buying it for $7 new. Game is just garbage, but we still play it from time to time. It's never been beaten.

Fallout 3 (360) - I think I bought this game for $20 new and bought into the hype also. By the time I was beginning to enjoy the game, the credits were rolling.

Final Fantasy XIII (360) - I'm more angry at myself for wasting $20 in Amazon credit on this game. It was such a chore to play this game thus meaning not fun at all, but I did eventually beat it. If I do buy XIII-2, it'll be for less than $20.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS) - Another chore to play and beat. I'm pretty sure I played 90% of the game using the same attack. I've never played a console KH, but I think I'm done with the handheld games.

Super Smash Bros Brawl - Horrible fighter
Metroid Other M - Horrible game in many ways, simple gameplay and the story...
Madworld - Short and crap
Super Mario Galaxy - No challenge and thus no fun
Alone in the Dark Wii - Poorly made
Sonic Unleashed PS3 - 3D Sonic speaks enough.
Onechanbara 360 - Poorly made
Halo Reach - So boring
Modern Warfare 2 - Broken and dumb gameplay
Modern Warfare 3 - Broken and dumb gameplay
Bioshock - Boring
GTA4 - Boring and in many ways a lesser game than previous GTAs
Gran Turismo 5 - Boring
Fallout New Vegas - So buggy and not much freedom in character builds, equipement and mission handling compared to FO3 which had loads.
Crackdown - Game bundle with Mass Effect on 360 in a double pack, the game just seems so unappealing I haven't even opened it.
Killzone 3 - I got some hours of enjoyment from it but is a far lesser game than KZ2 online and still kept the crap bits.  Paid too much for it.
Heavy Rain - I really enjoyed this game but it wasn't worth the release price given the awful reply value.

I'm limiting answer to this gen, and I'm probably forgetting a bunch.

With such a long list for just this gen, I have to wonder why did you buy all these games.

Crackdown I understand, I got Marvel vs Capcom in a replacement 360 bundle and never played it, not my thing.

Oblivion
Street Fighter IV
Brawl

Were all god awful.
