i thought he already told us a 3DS Zelda was in the works...

i want too know more about Wii U Zelda! i want it to be confirmed that it will use WiiM+ controls and not just the U-pad. Use the U.pad for maps and items but you have it in your laps and WM+ and nunchuck as the main controls would be nice

We all knew the game was in development. He announced that ages ago, though this interview does reveal a lot, when initially announced he didn't specify what kind of Zelda game we could expect other then the fact that it would be original. The fact that it is going to be more closely related to the home console Zelda series is a big relief to me. I can't wait to see what Nintendo does with Zelda on 3DS. Though I must admit I don't expect this title to launch till 2014!

Well if i did play Majora's Mask i would be happy.... but i really want a Majora's mask remake :P But still it's interesting to see how the game pans out and which direction is taken

Console Zelda games - particularly the 2D ones - make for good play-a-bit-and-put-down experiences, so I think this will be fine.

But I will be pretty hard to displease on this front regardless.

An original game is always a better route to go down than another remake. 3DS has two - that's enough. Bring on the original.

You think they are making a 2d one??? I doubt it. The last 2d one they made that played anything like the consoles was Four Swords, unless they get Capcom to do another one, which i wouldnt mind

I'm sure I have no idea what they're doing, but this news doesn't really worry me at all.

me neither, its freaking Zelda, outside of the CDi games anything it does is golden. the DS games are more like Silver but its all good

I remember hearing Miyamoto say that he'd like to bring A Link to the Past to 3DS. I would be overjoyed if this new game were anything like that classic... just ditch that god-awful touch control from the DS games.
