Forums - Gaming - R*: GTA V 'our largest and most ambitious game'. Bold new direction. Locations confirmed.

Bold new direction obviously means Wii U exclusive. Now that would be bold.

That wouldn't be bold, it would be one of the ballsiest (and perhaps most suicidal) decissions in videogame history.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

It looks like this is going to be Los Santos only, as its the only area they specifically mentioned and didn't say San Andreas.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

Bold new direction? It's going to be on rails for move and kinect!

Hopefully it will be like San Andreas, that was a lovely playground. Maybe they can fix the check points and gun play this time finally, I still have yet to complete a GTA game without having to resort to cheats.

i hope so. i have high hopes for this game being larger then san andreas and being more open.

Both RDR and LA Noire were bigger than SA so I say it's very likely.

they would loss alot of sells doing that.

It does look like a very ambitious game judging from the trailer.

I can't help but feel this "Bold new direction" is nothing but a hype trigger they really need to pull there finger out after GTA IV if anyone can do it though it's R* just wish it wasn't san andreas i'm about the only person on the planet that didn't like that game though haha

I want to fight Mexican drug cartels, hopefully it is a modern story dealing with the current drug wars.

If they can improve the gunplay a bit, and actually make a story and characters I care about, I may actually finish a GTA game for once.

I know people are dissapointed that they aren't including the other two cities this time around but honestly, LA is a huge city, and if they do more justice to it this time, we are looking at a really massive game.

I'm really intrigued about that "bold direction". Can we expect them to find new ways to carry on the game without doing the same old missions again?

Please excuse my bad English.
