People that just back up out of the parking lot without looking where they are going. Every time i go to the store i probably have to suddenly stop because someone decides they won't to pull out when im driving by.

Yea, parking lots are pretty hazardous territory. You have people that haul ass and you have people backing out. One accident (only been in 2 that actual damage occurred) I was pulling out of a parking lot forward when this lady when flying right in front of me. She was going the wrong way down a one way lane in the parking lot and I hit her dead center in her back passenger side tire. That tire got smashed inwards and the car wasn't drivable. I was even parked far out in the parking lot but I had a car semi blocking my view from the direction she came from. We both had State Farm and they decided it was my fault since I was pulling out of a parking spot (even though she was speeding and going the wrong way). Parking lots are private property so I pretty much got fucked by State Farm. I sent them an email to their website bitching at them and my exact words were "That fat cunt was going the wrong way down a one way lane and speeding" .. etc... They called me back a few days later waking me up to notify me that they still found me at fault. I hung up on the agent and he tried to call back which resulted in picking up the phone and hanging up on him again. Parents weren't too happy since I was under their plan and they were afraid they were going to get dropped.
Anyways, when I go to a store I usually park in the back of the lot. That way I get a little more walking in and park away from everyone else.
| sethnintendo said: I decided to make this thread to vent some of my anger. I am usually a laid back person. However, once I get behind the wheel I become very angry at all the dumb ass drivers (especially in Texas). I can list numerous examples but I'll just list a few to start with....
1) I hate when you get behind a person that is trying to merge onto a non-congested highway at 40-50 mph when the speed limit is 65+. 2) I hate rush hour traffic and refuse to ever work a job that requires me to drive in rush hour. Fuck driving to downtown Austin on I-35 during rush hour. I am glad I work 3rd shift because I get to avoid almost all traffic. However, there are still a few dumb asses on the road while driving to work. If I had to drive through rush hour traffic and take 1 hour+ to go 20-30 miles everyday I would take my car and turn it into a bumper car and start ramming everyone. 3) I hate people that merge quickly behind you on a highly congested highway and try and block you from being able to merge. Considering they were behind you why the fuck are they doing by speeding up while I'm merging onto the highway in front of them when there is stopped traffic ahead. 4) I hate pussies that don't turn when there is ample time to turn. 5) I hate idiots that don't see the green arrow for the right turn and just sit there at the light. 6) I hate people that can't even go the speed limit in the fast lane on highways while there is little traffic. The list can go on and I'll add a few more perhaps the next time I come across someone doing something retarded. Basically, when I drive I expect every driver to pull some dumb ass move. It makes me want to almost put GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY on the front hood of my car. I have come to the conclusion that most Americans suck at driving.
Please list a few examples of shitty driving that pisses you off. |
Well lets see--
1. You can't really fault people for traffic unless you fault them for just driving. In that case, you're at fault too.
2. Lol, unless you live in the country good luck with that dream.
4. Yeah, screw off on that one. I'm not going to get T-boned because you're in a hurry.
Mainly the people that annoy me are the ones that just don't turn signals.
These stories all make the drivers I've seen here in the U.K so civilised. In my 15 months driving, I've never seen anyone turn without indicating. From my experience cyclists are the ones who completely disregard the highway code.

Most people suck at EVERYTHING. So Unless you own this then sadly you will have to suck it up like the rest of us. This is one of the activities in which you are forced to deal with the the dumb.

You are a crybaby!
1 hour for 20-30 miles is very good. It IS NOT a Rush hour.
You don't live in a big/global city.
In a REAL rush hour, you can spend easily 1 hours+ to drive 5 miles.
In my city is even worse. In the fryday's rush hour there are people that spend 3 hours+ to drive less than 10 miles.
Also, the cars are divided by the plate, and depending of the hour and day of the week only cars of one group can drive in the main areas of the city. Because of that, families usually have 2 cars to drive depending of the day.
Still, São Paulo have the worst traffic jams in the world. So maybe i can't speak for the rest of the world

I went to a 2 month long driving school that included many road tests, as well as exams of the laws, and basic rules of the road. Most people I meet drove around the block at their high school though and got their license. That right there should explain a lot. Every time I drive with a woman, she fully admits to me that they suck at driving, and say that most women suck at driving in general before I say anything. I just moved from CT, where there is too much traffic to go fast most places, and there is too much bad weather there to not know how to drive in it. However, I just moved to Arizona, and even with few cars on the road and no bad weather, people literally suck at driving. They don't seem to have the ability to read what the cars in front of them are doing, and just slam on the brakes constantly, causing traffic where there shouldn't be any. Still, getting places is faster than CT without the sheer number of cars on the road.
However, poor female driving can be literally explained scientifically. It's part of our how brains work. Read the first part of this article to see how it's true:
Here's a copy and paste of the article:

Women Can't Drive and Park For Shit

There is allegedly one thing women and blind men have in common: their ability to navigate. Even Google loves this stereotype, tossing back an impressive 75,200,000 hits when we typed in "women can't park."
Then there are the supposed differences in the ways women and men get from one parking spot to the next, a practice often referred to as "driving." According to the Hollywood formula, men navigate by compass directions and a stubborn refusal to ask for directions ever, while women get from here to there by using landmarks, a winning smile and a little leg. Tell a woman to turn north, then east and then north again and every sexist comedy writer we polled here at Cracked agreed she'd get turned around faster than a frog in a blender.
So, if this ridiculous stereotype were true, then Mother Nature has given men a serious edge in the "getting around" department. But that can't be right, because the decade of the 70s promised us that Mother Nature doesn't favor people based on race, sexual orientation or whether or not there are dangly parts between their legs.
What Science Says:
Several studies have shown that heterosexual men are better at both navigating by north-south directions and at orienting themselves in three dimensional space than women. Why did men win the spatial perception jackpot? No, the answer isn't sex this time, it's food. Well, actually, it's both.
In the days before grocery stores and mini malls, mankind had to actually go hunt and gather for his daily mammoth chops. Scientists think that testosterone helped early men find their way home again after a long day of hunting, ensuring that they were the ones impregnating their mates and continuing their line while the spatially challenged became saber tooth tiger snacks.
Not only that, but one researcher actually scanned the brains of over a million kids and found that by age four, the boys were already surpassing the girls in spatial ability by a ratio of 4:1. She also found that while girls did just fine at seeing two dimensions in the brain, boys had the ability to see a third dimension, allowing them to understand the concept of depth at an earlier age.
And yeah... the same isn't necessarily true for gay men, who tend to navigate like women. Literally. That was not an insult.

1) You missed the word non-congested which means there isn't any traffic. If one can't get up to 65 while there is little to zero traffic by the time the on ramp ends/time to begin to merge then they plainly suck at driving. To go 40-50 mph while merging into traffic that is going 65 is not only a nuisance it is dangerous and causes back ups that shouldn't happen.
2) The way I avoid rush hour traffic is that I work either 2nd or 3rd shift.
4) I wrote ample time such as enough time that even a grandma could turn and be safe. If it is a close call I do not expect the person to turn. This doesn't piss me off as much as people that don't understand that the green arrow for right turn means they don't have to stop. Countless times I see people stop even though there is a green arrow for the right turn.
As to the no turn signals.... Yes, that can be very annoying, dangerous, and waste people's time. Always fun when there is only one car coming down the road which you are waiting for that turns on the street you are trying to pull out from.

I'd rather walk then. I'd get exercise, less frustration from traffic, and also get there faster too

Not sure what kind of job you have or where it is, but I doubt there are many business professionals who can afford to show up to work all sweaty and dirty after walking 5-10 miles to work in a suit along with their belongings.
SEGWAY! That's the answer. ha.
