I decided to make this thread to vent some of my anger.  I am usually a laid back person.  However, once I get behind the wheel I become very angry at all the dumb ass drivers (especially in Texas).  I can list numerous examples but I'll just list a few to start with....

1) I hate when you get behind a person that is trying to merge onto a non-congested highway at 40-50 mph when the speed limit is 65+. 

2) I hate rush hour traffic and refuse to ever work a job that requires me to drive in rush hour.  Fuck driving to downtown Austin on I-35 during rush hour.   I am glad I work 3rd shift because I get to avoid almost all traffic.  However, there are still a few dumb asses on the road while driving to work.  If I had to drive through rush hour traffic and take 1 hour+ to go 20-30 miles everyday I would take my car and turn it into a bumper car and start ramming everyone.

3) I hate people that merge quickly behind you on a highly congested highway and try and block you from being able to merge.  Considering they were behind you why the fuck are they doing by speeding up while I'm merging onto the highway in front of them when there is stopped traffic ahead.

4) I hate pussies that don't turn when there is ample time to turn.

5) I hate idiots that don't see the green arrow for the right turn and just sit there at the light.

6) I hate people that can't even go the speed limit in the fast lane on highways while there is little traffic.

The list can go on and I'll add a few more perhaps the next time I come across someone doing something retarded.  Basically, when I drive I expect every driver to pull some dumb ass move.  It makes me want to almost put GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY on the front hood of my car.

I have come to the conclusion that most Americans suck at driving.

Please list a few examples of shitty driving that pisses you off. 

I am not advocating unsafe driving, disobeying traffic laws, or anything to that nature.  I am merely expecting people drive the proper speed limit (don't go 5-10 mph under in the fast lane), use proper merging techniques (merge onto the highway at a safe speed, if traffic is going 65 then don't try and merge at 50 slowing everyone behind you down), and to notice all traffic signals (pardon me sir but that green arrow for right turn doesn't mean you have to stop at the intersection before turning).

You need a much longer driving test. In the UK we have a 40 minute test including all areas of driving and four reversing manoevers.

When I was in Texas I think you had to drive the car around a block once.

Oh also it is normal to drive manual (stickshift I think you call it?) cars so if you suck at driving you couldn't even move off never mind pass the test. There are no automatic car instructors in my area.

I personally don't care for driving, I always use public transport. I guess I may need to drive one day if going to my job by underground (subway) or whatever is too inconvenient, but until then I'm in no hurry.

But I know the mass transit system in America is not good, you so depend on driving a lot.

@ OP . I totally understand you. In my country there is almost no public transport and everyone has to own a car. Very few know how to drive and everyday that I go to my University, I go from calm/happy to seriously pissed off.
Everyone is an idiot here, I am seriously thinking of getting an old car and drive at night and ram on every idiot's car that is parked in the lane inside of the road. Yes on the road, most roads are blocked and I have to do "evasive maneuvers" each time that I drive and be extra careful that there is no other car on the opposite direction.
Most of the drivers are scared and always brake instantly for anything that may threatening, making it very easy for the driver behind them to crash. There is always a lot of traffic and I avoid getting out much because I don't want to get MAD!
I hate this situation because I like driving. Also our roads here suck and I think my car is going to break down someday... Did I mention that I dislike my country? :)))

Yea, I do need to chill out more while driving.  It isn't like I haul too much ass considering I drive a 05 Honda Civic EX but I do like to go kind of fast to the speed limit/+4 mph over.  The main time I don't let idiot drivers get to me is when I drive stoned.  Then I usually just point them out to friends about their stupid mistakes and laugh about it.

Yea, I believe everyone should first learn how to drive with a stick.  First time my dad tried to teach me how to drive he took me to a parking lot with a very touchy stick on his old truck.  He pretty much just sat there and laughed at me for awhile till I finally stopped stalling out.  Automatics make driving less involved and people pay less attention to the road.  I put blame on automatic transmissions which gives the false image of being safe while texting, eating, etc.. while driving.  My Civic is standard and I am glad I didn't get an automatic.  Standards can be a little nuisance in stop and go traffic.  However, I usually turn into a semi truck driver if I am driving on a highway during stop and go.  I let the people in front of me speed up and stop while I put along at about 5-10 mph rarely having to apply my brake.

You should take a ride with my girlfriend.  Not only is she a woman, she is also Asian.  Now that is a frightening double combo.

The only thing that pisses me off more than people not using their turn signal, is people who use their turn signal once they are already turning. Oh yeah that totally helps you fucking moron.
