I still think they can make it. Every one doubt the 15M last year and Sony almost made it without a price cut. |
They missed the target last time by 700k which is huge amount.

Actually after the adjustments it isn't anymore the case.
if you look over the trailing 12 months, VGChartz has 14.25 Millions PS3 sold to customers.
If you expect Q1 2012 to be better than Q1 2011 ( which is reasonnable seeing how poor Q1 2011 was) it's reasonnable to expect the PS3 to reach 15 millions shipped..
Word around the campfire is that Sony are about to post a big loss.
Upon this loss they will announce the break up in the tv division. Instead creating 3 different divisions "LCD TVs, next-generation TVs, and outsourcing". Samsung who make the TVs will ask for the 50% Sony has in S-LCD due to defaulting on its loan.
Since the start of the year its share has falled from nearly $30 to now under $15 (fallen 4% today).
If this rumour turns out to be true and Sony have a big loss then it could push shares down to around the $10 mark which would make it the lowest it has ever been.
Will be very interesting to see how the markets react to what they announce.

Yeah, I wrote that before the adjustments. The graph that Nintendo released recently had PS3 (and X360) up YoY-YtD. So now I believe it's possible, let's wait for the numbers.

but you thought you'd try to start some bad feeling and arguments anyway....was it even neccessary to bring that up? this site is alive today due to large adjustments across the board and sony are the last to report. |
Many were expecting Sony to drop out of the gaming division and some were cheering for that.
It's also like how many people (myself included) thought that Kinect would be a flop.

But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. Doesn't sound too good. I guess Sony has had trouble since the HD era began.
On that note, We need to prepare the grand entrance for NJ5 to show up (usually does when Sony is having financial difficulties).

Kowenicki's mum said that she'd bake him his favourite chocolate cake if Sony posts a loss. That's the only reason why he and other non-Sony fans are posting here.
