As long as it a robot simulator game, and not a FPS with robots (just like they were years ago); I am in. I would like an EarthSiege game instead, but this looks good.

I played it a bit. It's pretty okay. It's a beta. That's what I'd say about the HoTS beta too.
it seems a bit laggy. Maybe it's me, but I play other games without that lag.
It's definetely mechwarrior w/o the campaign.
It's what I expected I guess at this point. It's fun, not yet blissful like MechWarrior 2: mercenaries heh.
I'd rather buy the game for 60 bucks. this f2p stuff is a bit confusing, I don't play LOL so I'm not used to microtransactions.
Since you're the information box. Is it going to be limited to like so many hours, unless you have a premium acct? And is there a way to aquire cool mechs without USD.
Sorry if you already posted I'm just being lazy.
Cause the way I see it is that it ends up being more expensive than just a $60 game. I know there's reasons etc.

I have been in the Beta for many months now and played more hours than I care to admit, I don't like the f2p model much either.
However, Nothing in Mechwarrior so far requires you to pay anything. No mech is restricted to paying players only and no time restrictions on non paying players. MWO has taken the approach of pay for "convenience", So if you have a premium account you get more XP per match and more ingame currency per match, you can also use real money to purchase mechs (all mechs also available with ingame currency). you also use real money to buy additional mech bays, so by default you can only own 4 mechs at anyone time and need to puchase additional bays if you want to have more (about $2 a bay), 4 bays though is quite workable though.
So you could actually happily play MWO and never pay a cent, paying real money allows you to get mechs faster, store more mechs and earn XP slightly faster. there is no ingame advantage in battle for paying versus free players...... so they so far have taken a good approach.... I still don't like the F2P model!

So have you played any more? How are you finding it?
